On June 18, 2026, St. Joseph College - Olongapo Inc, SHS Dept conducted its Annual Simultaneous Earthquake Drill to strengthen preparedness and safety among learners, faculty, and staff. Alongside with the assisting volunteers of the Red Cross Youth (RCY), DRRM Team, and Medics. The school community showed its active participation and proper ex*****on within the emergency procedures, fostering a safe and resilient learning environment within
the Josephian community.

Ensuring that awareness, preparedness, and safety continues to remain on our primary priority. ❤️🩸

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 14, 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘 | The 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, together with SJC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), participated in a 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 and 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘪𝘥 training conducted by 𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗥 - 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗥𝗨), strengthening their leadership, knowledge, and readiness for emergencies, including assisting choking victims, performing CPR, and applying proper bandaging.

The training provided hands-on learning and practical demonstrations that enhanced the officers’ emergency response capabilities. It strengthened their discipline and presence of mind in handling critical situations, further preparing them to serve effectively in their roles as young humanitarian leaders. ⛑️

Through learning, practice, and simulated scenarios, the officers embodied the guiding principle of their training:

Rights were taken without permission. The nation was forced to kneel so that one man could stand above all. That was not strength. That was oppression. That was not order. That was control.

But the people remembered who they were.

They refused to let fear define their future. They stood together, unarmed yet unbreakable. They faced power not with violence, but with courage. And in that moment, the people reclaimed what was always theirs—their freedom, their dignity, and their voice as citizens of the Philippines.

Now that freedom is in our hands.

We, once again, stand at the edge of decision. Another presidential election will come. Another moment where the future of this nation will be decided not by the powerful, but by the people. This is not just a vote. This is a responsibility. This is a test of whether we remember—or whether we forget.

Remember the fear. Remember the courage. Remember who holds the power.

Wake up. Remember the 21 years.
Remember the 40th year.
We are not powerless.
We are not voiceless.
We are the nation.
The future will become whatever we choose to defend.
