Life may bring seasons of uncertainty, challenges, and trials that seem impossible to overcome, but God's promise remains steadfast. When the waters rise and the fire burns, we can find peace in knowing that He walks with us every step of the way. His presence gives us strength, His love gives us courage, and His faithfulness reminds us that no obstacle is greater than His power. No matter what we face, we are never alone, for He is our refuge, our guide, and our unwavering source of hope. ✨

The University of Perpetual Help System Manila actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel in a coordinated effort to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response awareness.
Following the earthquake simulation, participants safely proceeded to their designated evacuation areas, demonstrating discipline, preparedness, and cooperation throughout the exercise. The drill served as an opportunity to assess the university’s readiness and reinforce the importance of knowing the proper actions to take during emergencies.
In his post-drill report, Mr. Darwin Aznar, Dean of the College of Nursing, emphasized that earthquake drills play a vital role in strengthening the institution’s culture of safety and disaster preparedness. He also confirmed that the Main Building and Alta Building were successfully cleared, with no fire incidents or structural damage observed. Dean Aznar likewise commended the entire Perpetualite community for their vigilance, cooperation, and active participation in the activity.
Meanwhile, Mr. James Rodriguez of the College of Nursing facilitated the accounting of students and personnel by recording class and departmental headcounts, ensuring that everyone was safely accounted for in the evacuation areas.
More than a compliance activity, the NSED reflects UPHSM’s unwavering commitment to protecting the welfare of its academic community. Through continuous training, regular drills, and collective participation, the university continues to foster a culture of preparedness, resilience, and shared responsibility in the face of emergencies.
The activity also supports compliance with Section 16(b) of Republic Act No. 11058 and Section 12 of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program under DOLE Department Order No. 198-18, reinforcing the university’s dedication to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all.
