As part of their professional growth and commitment to excellence, Kumon instructors complete worksheets themselves to gain firsthand experience with the Kumon Method, deepen their understanding of lesson progression, and enhance their ability to guide and support students effectively.

This process helps instructors strengthen their problem-solving and comprehension skills while modeling the perseverance, discipline, and lifelong learning mindset that Kumon aims to develop in every learner.

Teacher Cathy Uminga is not only a Kumon Instructor with 20 years of experience. She’s also a Math and Reading Program Completer. She completed Reading Program in March 2016 and Math Program in April 2024.

Her dedication to continuous learning and self-improvement exemplifies the values of Kumon and serves as an inspiration to both students and fellow educators.
