“We must help the child to act for himself, will for himself, think for himself; this is the art of those who aspire to serve the spirit.” – Maria Montessori

Congratulations, Teacher Solenn, on your incredible achievement of earning the Elementary (6-12) Diploma!

Completing this rigorous journey over three years—while skillfully balancing classroom management and deep study, is a testament to your unwavering dedication and love for this work. But what makes your story even more beautiful is this: you are a product of this very school.

A Montessori child from Casa to Elementary, you have lived the method long before you ever studied it. The independence, respect, and inner discipline you now guide our children toward are the very same ones that shaped you. Today, you return not just as a trained teacher, but as living proof of the Montessori promise.

We are so proud to witness you come full circle—from child to guide, from dreamer to diploma holder. Thank you for choosing to serve the spirit of this community with all that you are.

For 3 weeks this June, your 3–6-year-old steps into a world designed for
hands-on discovery with real materials, real focus, and real joy.

The Casa Bridging Program isn’t just “summer school.”

It’s a child’s first taste of Montessori learning and independence, where curiosity leads the way.

In the Montessori elementary classroom, botany moves beyond simple observation to hands-on scientific exploration—nowhere more vividly than in the dissection of fruit. With careful fingers, children peel back the familiar exterior of a string bean, slice open an apple, or a papaya to reveal the botanical structure within.

They identify the exocarp (skin), mesocarp (flesh), and endocarp (inner layer), discovering how a seed’s journey is protected and powered by the fruit’s very anatomy.

This work sharpens fine motor skills, observation, and classification abilities while igniting wonder: Why are string bean seeds lined up in a tidy row? Why does an apple hide teardrop-shaped seeds while a papaya holds big, slimy ones?
Through dissection, children move from eating a snack to reading the story of a plant’s reproduction—seed by seed, layer by layer.

🌾 Growing Beyond the Classroom: Our Third Year of Adolescent Farm Immersion

For the third year in a row, our Adolescent Farm Immersion program has turned the world into a classroom, and this time, we went further.

This year’s batch of young farmers didn’t just plant seeds; they expanded beyond the fields and stepped into a richer, more hands-on understanding of agricultural sustainability. And when the sun went down? They gathered around the campfire—sharing songs, stories, and memories that will stay with them long after the mud washes off.

This year, we were joined by incredible new partners who opened our eyes and our students’ hands to even more:

🌱 Seedworks Philippines – Taught us that every healthy harvest begins long before the first leaf. Seed production is science, patience, and hope in a tiny package.

🌾 Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) – Brought the real talk on rice sustainability and food poverty. Our students now see that a single grain carries the weight of food security, farming futures, and national well-being.

🥛 Philippine Carabao Center – Introduced us to the world of dairy—from animal care to actual cheesemaking. They showed how small-scale, sustainable livestock can nourish both bodies and livelihoods.

💧 HarvestEdge Agriventures – Opened our eyes to the future of farming through hydroponics. Our students learned that you don’t always need soil to grow—just innovation, care, and the right knowledge.

🌲 UPLB College of Forestry and Natural Resources – Reminded us that sustainability isn’t just about what we grow to eat, but also what we grow to protect. From forest ecosystems to the science of conservation, our students left with a deeper appreciation for the trees that hold our world together.

This program isn’t just about farming. It’s about raising young people who understand that sustainability isn’t a buzzword—it’s in the seeds we save, the rice we grow, the animals we tend, the forests we protect and the meals we share.

Thank you to our partners, families, and most of all, our adolescents.
Here’s to many more seasons of growing together. 🌱🐃🧀🔥

What an incredible moment of pride for our community! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating our Monte Masters Founder and Golf Captain Raph, who won at the JGFP year-long Golf Tournament representing our school—all while completing his work immersions and passing his college entrance exams. He is closing an extraordinary chapter with us, which started at the age of three.

But we also want to share something Raph’s mom replied with recently, which is a masterclass in Montessori parenting:

“I just want to say that apart from Raph’s regular golf practice, his mindset was equally important. I know the school played a significant role in this. He learned how to deal with both younger and much older children. He understood when to assert himself, when to let go, and how to recover. These are lessons he gained from his teachers, peers, and mentors in MMCSFI. Thank you. The journey was just as rewarding as the trophy itself. We just simply followed the child.”

“We just simply followed the child.” – This is Montessori philosophy lived out loud.

And then Raph’s father added something that left us breathless:

“This program didn’t just change our sons. It changed us. I came in thinking school was about grades, structure, and survival. Over time, I realized it’s actually about something else entirely—helping a child discover who they are and how they move through the world. It’s the school I wish I had the opportunity to attend growing up.”

To Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez – thank you for being such remarkable Montessori parents. You trusted the process (for both your sons!), you honored Raph’s growth, and you reminded all of us that the real win is in the journey, the mindset, and the community that helps raise a child. The fact that you were transformed, too? That is the highest compliment a school could ever receive.

Congratulations again, Raph—on the trophy, on finishing your Montessori education strong, and on everything you have become: excellent, kind, and ever curious and willing to learn.

Once a Montessori child, always a Montessori child.

“Is it through work alone that a child develops.” – Dr. Maria Montessori

Putting up a one-day restaurant is no small task. Led by the the most experienced in the class, the grade 6, whose 3rd time it is to put up the class restaurant, the children eagerly got to work. This year, they decided on a restobar and KTV theme (serving mocktails, of course).

After dividing up the leadership roles amongst themselves, the grade 6 conducted interviews and hired their staff from the younger children. They planned the menu, shopped for ingredients, tested recipes, and prepared the food for the actual day. On the logistics side, they took pre-orders and made an order master list, had waiter training, designed and created a background for the karaoke stage, and set up the auditorium with tables for over 70 guests!

On the day, there was no shortage in volunteers. Every child wanted to be hired for a task at all times. It was dishwashers, choppers, mixers, cooks, and runners abound as the classroom transformed into a giant kitchen.

The activity was rife with practical-life applications. From proper knife holding and handling, all kinds of volume and weight measurements, money and calculations, to efficient dishwashing, carrying a tray full of food, or using a can opener for the first time, there was no shortage in learning and discovery!
