Ateneo alumnus Dr Manuel Mendoza Jr (BS Health Sciences 2015; MD-MBA 2020) continues to gain recognition for his contributions to medical research.

Dr Mendoza recently received multiple recognitions at the 32nd PMA Residents’ Research Presentation during the 119th Philippine Medical Association Annual Convention, earning awards in both the Original Research and Case Report categories.

His journey reflects the importance of perseverance, curiosity, and using research to better understand and serve patients and communities.

The ASMPH staff, with the guidance of the Ateneo de Manila University Campus Ministry Office, visited beautiful churches in Quezon City, Pasig, and Antipolo.

Grateful to have been joined by Fr Robbie Sian, Chaplain of the Ateneo Professional Schools. Everyone took time at each stop to reflect on the Stations of the Cross—pausing for prayer and quiet reflection.

Wishing everyone a grace-filled Holy Week ahead.

ASMPH held a transition meeting to welcome incoming Vice President for Higher Education, Dean Czarina “Bopeep” Saloma-Akpedonu, and to thank outgoing VPHE Marlu Vilches for her steady leadership since 2023 and for her 40 years of service to Ateneo.

Joined by members of the Dean’s Council and Associate Dean’s Council, the meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the ASMPH team, share key highlights of the school, and open space for dialogue.
