One of the MอYอTอHอSอ about Mental Health is that:
Mental Health issues are a result of personality weakness or character flaws and people can "snap out of it" if they try hard enough.
When actually there is a ๐
๐๐๐ that must be considered and understood:
Mental health conditions have nothing to do with being lazy or weak and many people need help to get better. Many factors contribute to mental health conditions, including:

January 3 is International Mind-Body Wellness Day, an opportunity to celebrate how a healthy mind and healthy emotions mean a healthy body! The mind, body, and soul connection plays an integral role in our overall health and well-being. Our emotions, purpose, spirituality, experiences, goals, beliefs, habits, and actions all have an important impact on mind-body harmony and overall health. That is why we celebrate International Mind-Body Wellness Day at the start of each year because nothing is more important than creating the best you possible, and what better time than the new year for a new you? The concept of mind-body wellness has been around for literally thousands of years, and there are plenty of ways that we can elevate our mind-body wellness and promote overall well-being. Everything from mindfulness, meditation, diet changes, spirituality, gratitude, mindset, purpose, and even decor and colors can impact your mental, emotional and physical well-being!
Use The WELL Method to create a personalized plan for a healthy mindset. Jaya Jaya Myra created The WELL Method to help people create a positive, healthy mindset. The beauty is, that each person can customize it to their own unique needs, beliefs, lifestyle, and personal ethos. Hereโs the framework:

E โ Expect/Enable Excellence
L โ Live Your Purpose
L โ Love, Not Fear

Mental health awareness is a year-round effort, and various mental health initiatives and awareness campaigns may include counseling as a crucial component. Mental health is an important topic, and if you're interested in promoting awareness about counseling or mental health support, you can consider participating in broader mental health awareness initiatives or advocating for mental health awareness in your community. Mental health awareness is an ongoing and crucial focus throughout the year. Several mental health-related observances and awareness campaigns take place to promote mental well-being. It's important to note that discussions around mental health should not be limited to specific months, as mental well-being is a year-round concern. Communities, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and support those facing mental health challenges at all times. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health concerns, reaching out to mental health professionals or support organizations can make a positive difference. The concept of self-love and self-care is increasingly recognized and emphasized throughout the year. There may be events, campaigns, or initiatives focusing on self-love and well-being, but they might not be limited to a specific month.
Promoting self-love and self-care is an important aspect of overall well-being. Individuals and organizations often engage in activities and initiatives to encourage people to prioritize self-love and take steps toward a healthier and more positive relationship with themselves.

MENTAL HEALTH EVENT SERIES
The Guidance and Counseling Department Personnel conducted its First Mental Health Event Seminar and Workshop Activities last October 11-12, 2023, in celebration of the Mental Health Month. The Second Mental Health Event Seminar and Workshop Activities will be conducting on January 2024 to raise awareness about mental health stigma, and as well as to celebrate January as the Mental Wellness Month. The Third and last Mental Health Event (Mental Health Awareness 2.0) will be on May 2024, together with the Career Guidance, Job Expo, and Job Fair.
Organizing a mental health event series can be a valuable initiative to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide support for individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Mental health events play a crucial role in fostering understanding, empathy, and support for those affected by mental health challenges.
We are here for you. You matter, your mental health matters! ๐ฅฐ๐ซถ๐ซ
