Today, the Ateneo Family Business Development Center joins families across the Philippines in celebrating fathers and father figures who guide, support, and inspire the next generation.
In many family businesses, fathers often share not only lessons about work and enterprise, but also values such as integrity, resilience, stewardship, and service. Through everyday conversations, shared experiences, and years of dedication, they help shape both family bonds and the legacies that families hope to build together.
As we celebrate Father's Day, we honor the many ways fathers contribute to the growth of their families, their businesses, and their communities.
To all fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figuresโthank you for the example you set and the legacies you help nurture.
Family and Business, Building Legacies.

When we think of innovation, we often picture disruptive technologies, breakthrough products, or large investments in research and development. But for family businesses, innovation can take a different form.
From strengthening relationships with customers and partners to introducing new systems, adapting business models, and navigating generational transitions, family businesses innovate in ways that preserve what matters while preparing for the future.
This white paper invites us to rethink innovationโnot as a departure from legacy, but as a means of sustaining it.

BUILT FOR LEGACY: SUSTAINING FAMILY AND BUSINESS THROUGH GENERATIONS
The Ateneo Family Business Development Center (FBDC) successfully concluded Built for Legacy: Sustaining Family and Business Through Generations, bringing together family business leaders and members for two days of meaningful learning and exchange.
Participants gained valuable insights on fostering generational success, navigating the dynamics of family and business, and strengthening continuity through building multi-generational family-teams, leadership development, succession planning, and family constitution crafting. Through guided discussions and expert-led sessions, families were equipped with frameworks and perspectives to sustain both relationships and enterprise across generations.
The program was held last May 23โ24 at the Ateneo de Manila University campus, with participants traveling from various provinces to take part in the sessions.
We thank all participants for being part of this shared journey toward building enduring legacies.
Stay tuned for upcoming programs of the Ateneo Family Business Development Center.
