Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School successfully conducted its week-long School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers held last November 17โ€“21, 2025, with the theme โ€œReloading Teachersโ€™ Skills and Knowledge in Facing Educational Challenges.โ€ The training aimed to strengthen teachersโ€™ competencies, deepen professional commitment, and equip them with knowledge responsive to the evolving demands of todayโ€™s learners.
Throughout the 5-day program, MLQES faculty engaged in enriching sessions led by distinguished speakers and experts in the field of education.

The opening day featured two inspiring sessions.
Dr. Grace S. Franco, Principal IV, set the tone with her talk, โ€œFinding Joy in Teaching,โ€ emphasizing passion, purpose, and positivity in the profession. She reminded educators of the importance of cultivating happiness in the classroom despite challenges.
This was followed by a powerful and reflective session on โ€œReflective Teaching Practicesโ€ led by Dr. Joana Marie S. Gilman, Master Teacher, who encouraged educators to evaluate their teaching methods and continuously improve classroom strategies.

Day 2 โ€“ ๐‘ผ๐’‘๐’…
Day 2 focused on professional growth and program updates.
Dr. Imelda T. Jacob, Public Schools District Supervisor, provided insightful inputs on the Expanded Career Progression, giving teachers a clearer direction on promotion pathways and career opportunities.
She also delivered timely updates on the ARAL Program (MOSY), highlighting interventions anchored on learning recovery and strengthened instructional support for students with learning gaps.

Day 3 โ€“ ๐‘ผ๐’๐’…
On the third day, Master Teacher II Oliver T. Tamayao and Master Teacher II Angelo M. Ibarra guided the teachers through the Guidelines on the Multi-Year PMES. The discussion centered on standards, processes, documentation, and indicators, allowing faculty members to better understand performance expectations and evaluation mechanisms.

The fourth day highlighted both classroom engagement and teacher well-being.
Master Teacher I Marie Fe B. Marcelino, who also serves as Guidance Teacher, delivered โ€œ7 Keys Every Teacher Can Use to Build Flow in the Classroom,โ€ offering practical strategies for creating a smooth, engaging, and productive learning environment.
Later in the day, Dr. Julie C. Revatoris shared valuable insights on โ€œSocio-Emotional Learning for School Leaders and Teachers,โ€ emphasizing empathy, emotional awareness, and mental health support within school communities.

The final day concluded with a hands-on session on digital resource development.
Master Teacher I Sherwin S. Gilman facilitated a training on the Utilization of Canva for Instructional Resources, empowering teachers to design modern, creative, and learner-centered instructional materials.

The INSET fostered collaboration, inspiration, and professional growth among Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School teachers. As the week ended, participants expressed renewed motivation and readiness to embrace more innovative, meaningful, and responsive teaching practices.

True to its theme, the 2025 School-Based INSET successfully reloaded teachersโ€™ skills and sharpened their knowledgeโ€”preparing them to rise to the challenges of modern education and continue shaping young Quezonians with excellence, compassion, and dedication.

๐Ÿงผ๐Ÿซ Safety First, Always!

In compliance with the directive from the Department of Education โ€“ NCR, MLQ ES promptly conducted disinfection, fogging, and structural inspection of school facilities last October 13โ€“14, 2025.

These activities were led by our School Head, Dr. Grace S. Franco, with the support of City Environmental Management Department, SDO Caloocan Engineers, and the School Incident Management Team.

Face-to-face classes in public schools across NCR, including MLQES, were suspended during these dates due to the rising cases of influenza-like illnesses and to ensure the structural integrity of school buildings following a series of earthquakes in various parts of the country.

The school remains committed to prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of all learners, teachers, and personnel. ๐Ÿ’š
