PASLANGIN ANG TOBOSO 19.

Kasama ng buong komunidad ng UP at ng sambayanang Pilipino, nakikiisa ang UP Eduk SC sa panawagan para sa hustisya para kay Alyssa Alano at sa lahat ng biktima ng Toboso 19.

Dalawang buwan matapos ang masaker sa Toboso, Negros Occidental, nananatiling walang pananagutan ang mga responsable sa pagpaslang sa 19 na indibidwal. Habang patuloy ang militarisasyon at mga pag-atake sa mga komunidad ng magsasaka, patuloy rin nating ipinapanawagan ang hustisya, pananagutan, at paggalang sa karapatang pantao at International Humanitarian Law.

Hindi namin malilimutan sina Alyssa at ang iba pang biktima sa Toboso 19.
Hindi kami tatahimik hangga't walang hustisya.

Last June 8, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook Southern Mindanao, affecting those who live in General Santos City, Sarangani, Davao City, and other nearby areas.

We are asking for your help in providing immediate help for those affected in Mindanao such as food, water, and tents.

The UP College of Education Student Council, is holding a donation initiative for one of our students, Raya Castillo.

She is a graduating undergraduate student, taking BEed Early Education. Earlier today she was involved in a motorcycle accident that left her with minor injuries and broke her laptop. We are asking for any financial support to help Raya repair the damages to her laptop.

We hope that the Eduk community can extend help and support to Raya.

ISKOLAR-GURO NG BAYAN, ITAKWIL ANG HUWAD NA KALAYAAN!

Matapos ang 128 na taon, naideklara man ng gobyerno na malaya na tayo mula sa mga pananakop, nakadiin pa rin ang pangil ng mga imperyalista sa soberanya at politika sa Pilipinas.

Sa ilalim ng rehimeng Marcos Jr. na sunod-sunuran sa ganid at utos ng amo niyang si Donald Trump, patuloy na nanghihimasok ang militar ng Amerika sa bansa. Nagpapatuloy ang VFA at Balikatan Exercises, nagpatayo ng apat na EDCA sites, at higit sa lahat, ipapatupad ang Pax Silica na pinapamigay ang 1,619 hektaryang lupain sa Tarlac para gawing pagawaan ng kagamitang pandigma ng US Military.

Sa sektor ng edukasyon, ang oryentasyon ng ating pag-aaral ay nanatiling kolonyal at nakasandig sa interest ng mga dayuhan. Sa umiiral na neoliberal na education, ang mga estudyante ay ginagawang cheap labor na i-ne-export sa ibang bansa. Ang mga g**o naman ay binabarat ng sahod at benepisyo kung saan napipilitan silang makipagsapalaran sa ibang bansa.

Walang tigil rin ang pagpapatupad ng administrasyon ng mga neoliberal na polisya gaya ng liberalization, privatization, deregulation, at denationalization. Sa halip na magpanukala ng mga batas at polisiyang tutulong sa sambayanang naghihikaos dahil sa ekonomiyang krisis na dala ng giyerang agresyon ng US-Israel, pumapanig pa ang estado sa mga korporasyon ng banyaga.

Huwad ang ating kalayaan sapagkat patuloy ang pagiging neo-kolonya ng Pilipinas at ang puppeteering ng US sa pamahaalan.

Sa darating na Araw ng Kalayaan, tayong mga Iskolar ng Bayan ay sama-samang igiit ang tunay na kalayaan at soberanya para sa ating bansa. Ating ipanawagan na palayasin ang mga sundalong kano, ikulong ang mga kurakot, at ibagsak ang imperyalistang US-Israel na pahirap sa buong daigdig.

All graduating G**o ng Bayans are encouraged to upload their photos and videos to commemorate the memories they had while strolling through the paths of University Avenue, Academic Oval, UPIS, and most especially, Benitez Hall.

The pre-enlistment period for Midyear, A.Y. 2025–2026 opens tomorrow. Below are the important dates to remember:

📌 June 1–7, 2026: Pre-Enlistment Period
📌 June 8, 2026: Release of Batch Run Results

Please ensure that your CRS Student Profile is updated before pre-enlisting to avoid any issues. Kindly check the mode of delivery of classes and prerequisite courses indicated in the REMARKS section to properly plan your schedule and expectations.

| Request for Deadline Extension of Dorm Applications

Due to concerns raised by students to the council, the USC sent a letter yesterday, May 25, to request for a deadline extension for dorm applications.

OVCSA VC de Pano and OSH Director Asuncion have approved the said request.

The deadline for dorm applications shall be extended until June 1, 2026 (Monday) at 12 NN. Please be guided accordingly.
