United Architects of the Philippines Graduate Auxiliary (UAPGA) sympathizes with the victims of the recent tragedy in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga wherein a 9-storey building under construction collapsed, leaving construction workers under mangled rubble. We stand in solidarity to hold accountable the involved parties and bring the issue to justice.

The organization will continue to advocate for safer and more sustainable design. We believe that more than being efficient and profitable, structures must be designed with the people in mind — the occupants and the builders alike.

BANTAYOG, the official literary folio of Reference Point, will celebrating the theme, “TINDIG” for the fiscal year 2025-2026, emphasizing the importance of standing firm in one’s moral and ethical grounds.

In time of social and societal urgency, Reference Point, as UAPGA’s official publication, encourages members and the wider architecture graduate community to reject neutrality and advocate for architecture that does not only stand in structure, but in ethics and values as well.
