Sports Discovery – Taekwondo

Sometimes, helping children discover who they are begins by allowing them to try something new.

Through Summer Adventures’ Sports Discovery, we hope to partner with parents in helping children stay active, confident, and open to experiences that help shape character and growth. At the same time, parents also grow alongside their children — learning patience, encouragement, and trust as they begin discovering their children’s interests, strengths, personality, and unique gifts.

Sometimes, the best experiences happen outside the classroom — through sports, outdoor activities, friendships, and new experiences.

Our summer program is designed to help children grow in confidence, movement, and friendship.

Learning Faith Through Experience

It was an enriching day for our students as they explored the beauty and meaning of the Church in a way that was both engaging and memorable.

The children had a discussion with Father Alfred, who introduced them to the Church and helped them understand its importance in our lives. He also guided them in building a miniature church, making the experience engaging.

What made the visit even more special was their trip to the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Chapel of UA&P, where the children discovered that every part of a church has meaning. Through this, they began to understand that the church is a sacred place where we encounter God.

They were also taught how to genuflect upon entering the chapel, helping them practice reverence and respect in a sacred space. A beautiful step in their spiritual and moral formation.

Together with their parents, the children were then invited to draw what they remembered about their visit to the chapel. This reflective activity strengthened the home-school partnership, allowing parents to accompany their children in understanding and appreciation of the experience.

This special activity nurtured the children's spiritual growth, encouraged moral development through reverence and respect, and strengthened parent partnership - all essential elements in forming the whole child.
