The Junior Philippine Geographical Society - UP Diliman and rift invites you to 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗩𝗼𝗹. 𝗜𝗜𝗜, a film showing event showcasing local independent films with themes of people and places. Featuring titles from directors 𝗝𝗧 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗘𝗹𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘀𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮, 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁, and 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼.

This semester, the Geographic Society of the University of the Philippines (UP GeogSoc) invites you to the latest edition of Perspective: The Geography Forum Series, entitled “Where Waste Flows: Tracing Pollution in Interconnected Water Systems,” with Mx. Lance Oliver Licnachan from the PlastiZen Project (DOST-PCIEERD Funded) and the Microbial Oceanography Laboratory, University of the Philippines Diliman, as the speaker.

💧 This event aims to discuss how pollution, particularly plastic waste, moves through interconnected water systems from inland environments to coastal and marine spaces, and how geographic perspectives can help us better understand these environmental issues within the Philippine context. It will be held face-to-face on May 12 (Tuesday) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at PH 408–410, Palma Hall, UP Diliman.
