Sa paggunita natin sa kabayanihan ng ating mga ninuno, nawa'y maging inspirasyon sila upang patuloy nating mahalin, paglingkuran, at ipagmalaki ang ating bayan.

Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang isang karapatan—ito rin ay isang pananagutan.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

In moments like these, fear, uncertainty, and pain can easily overwhelm us. Yet even amid the shaking of the ground beneath our feet, we hold on to the assurance that God remains our firm foundation.

Let us continue to keep them in our prayers. May God grant them strength for each day, comfort in every sorrow, protection for their families, and peace in the midst of anxiety. Most of all, may they find the courage to place their complete trust in Him, knowing that He is always present, even in the darkest and most difficult moments.

Together, let us pray for healing, safety, and hope for Mindanao.

𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐓𝐋𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

Leadership is not measured by titles or recognition but by one’s willingness to serve, inspire, and create meaningful change. This academic year, the STLC Supreme Student Government welcomes a new student leader who hopes to guide the organization with consistency, faith, and dedication.

As he officially begins his term as the newly elected SSG President, 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐊. 𝐓𝐢𝐮 shares his vision, priorities, and aspirations for the student body and the entire STLC community.

𝐐: 𝐀𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫?

𝐀: “I envision my leadership as consistent throughout this school year. We often see people aim for leadership positions by promising big changes, and while some truly deliver those changes, they are not always consistent. I believe that big changes without consistency lose their impact because they can easily disappear over time. That is why I want my leadership to be defined not only by change, but by consistency and commitment.”

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲?

𝐀: “To begin with, I want to improve the organization from within. It is important that we improve the way we govern before introducing changes to the school. Our future student leaders will also benefit from a better system, which will result in better service for the students. Aside from that, I want to prioritize the workshop I promised during my campaign so that my fellow students can learn about important tools that can make our academic lives easier while also raising funds for future SSG projects.”

𝐐: 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?

𝐀: “A good leader must know how to delegate tasks properly. If a leader does everything alone, they will become overwhelmed; however, if a leader does nothing, then nothing will happen.”

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬, 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬, 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐓𝐋𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲?

𝐀: “I believe that my faith will help me make a meaningful contribution to the SSG and the entire STLC community because, with God, nothing is impossible. God will lead us to where we need to be at the right time and in the right place.”

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭?

𝐀: “In all the things, experiences, and relationships that God brings into your lives, always be grateful. God allows us to face struggles so that we may become stronger, and we should be grateful even for those challenges. And when God blesses us with good things, we should be even more thankful.”

With a heart grounded in faith and a vision centered on consistency and service, 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 intends to begin this school year with the desire to lead not only through words but through meaningful action. As the STLC community moves forward together, may this new chapter of student leadership encourage every learner to become a voice of responsibility, unity, and positive change.

At St. Therese Learning Center, leadership is not simply taught, it is nurtured and lived through our Supreme Student Government.

Through the SSG, our learners are allowed to discover their voices, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and develop the courage to lead with integrity and purpose. They learn that true leadership is not about fame or position, but about service, character, and genuine concern for others.

The SSG also allows our learners to exercise their right to choose leaders whom they believe can lead honorably and responsibly for the good of the majority. At a young age, they are being shaped to become responsible voters. They are learning to choose leaders not because of popularity or charm, but because of competence, integrity, and willingness to serve.

Through this organization, our students are being prepared not only to lead today, but also to inspire and make a difference tomorrow.

Today, we join the Catholic Church in observing the 60th World Day of Social Communication. This celebration reminds us of the vital role communication plays in promoting truth, human dignity, and Gospel values in today’s modern world.

As technology continues to connect people across distances, may we use every form of communication responsibly and compassionately. Let us spread kindness instead of hate, truth instead of misinformation, and hope instead of fear.

May our words, posts, and messages become instruments of understanding, respect, and love, reflecting the values that unite us as one community of faith.

For more than four decades, STLCQC has upheld its cherished tradition of spreading joy and kindness as the Christmas season approaches.

Through simple acts of generosity shared with street children and the elderly, we make them feel valued, remembered, and loved.

At STLCQC, generosity grows in every learner, turning simple acts into meaningful impact.

Binabati namin ang lahat ng naging bahagi sa paggawa ng ating pahayagang pampaaralan.

Lubos ang aming tuwa at pagmamalaki na makita ang aming mga mag-aaral na unti-unting umuusbong bilang mga batang mamamahayag. Dito sa STLCQC, hinihikayat namin silang malayang ipahayag ang kanilang sarili, kasabay ng pagbibigay-halaga sa responsableng pamamahayag.

Maraming salamat sa pagtatampok ng iba’t ibang mahahalagang kaganapan sa ating paaralan na nagpapakita ng talento at husay ng ating mga mag-aaral. Higit pa rito, ang pahayagang ito ay magsisilbing alaala ng ating mga pinahahalagahang karanasan.
