When you talk with your child, describe moments, and respond to what they say or try to say, you’re laying the foundation for better communication skills later on — straight from what research shows about talk and word learning.

Here are simple, everyday ways to boost language — no special tools needed:

🗣️ Talk about what’s happening
Describe what you’re doing together — whether it’s eating, playing, or getting ready.

👀 Point & name things
When your child points, label the object and add a gesture.

🔁 Repeat and expand
If they say “ball,” you can say, “Yes, big red ball!” — giving them more words to hear and learn from.

❤️ Respond to any communication attempt
Even if it’s a gesture or sound, your warm response shows them language matters.

With a little everyday talk and attention, you’re helping your child grow confident communicators. 💬✨
