𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 | 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀

Fathers are the pillars of a home; they offer the strength, guidance and support that keeps our families standing strong through every challenge.

Not to mention, they say not all heroes wear capes, some are just called Dad. Dads show their love with life lessons, corny jokes, in ways big and small. With their guidance, sacrifices, and unconditional support — they inspire us to grow, persevere and chase our dreams with confidence.

This Father’s Day, we honor the dads, father figures, and anyone who has taken the role of father. Thank you for your strength, your wisdom and the little things that make a house a home.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝐍𝐅𝐇𝐒 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥

North Fairview High School (NFHS) actively engaged in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 9:25 a.m., with a record of 2 minutes and 48 seconds of evacuation time.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), Batang Emergency Response Team (BERT), and the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (BDRRMO) participated in the activity to provide support and ensure the success of the earthquake drill.

Afterward, Kagawad Jayvee Frech Marigondon reminded students that earthquakes are no joke, and to stay with their classmates and teachers in emergencies.

Moreover, the drill was conducted to equip students, teachers & school personnel for possible earthquakes in the future.

Did you know that the earth is just a vibrating puzzle? Roughly 500,000 detectable earthquakes shake the planet every year!
An earthquake is like a surprise, you will never know when it will happen.

Several earthquake strikes hit in the Philippines that caused severe injuries and deaths. Being ready is one of the most important thing to do when an earthquake struck–preparing ready-to-eat foods, emergency kit, and a flashlight is already a great start! We should also be alert at all cause as well as being a wise thinker in case an emergency happens.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝐍𝐅𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞

On June 8, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Mindanao, which led to massive damage and widespread panic among residents as authorities immediately conducted monitoring and response operations.

Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Undersecretary Harold Cabreros said in a live update that the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Sarangani, Mindanao, triggering strong shaking in nearby coastal areas and prompting close monitoring for possible impacts and aftershocks.

Based on reports from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake was caused by movement along the Cotabato Trench, an active offshore fault system in Mindanao that generates strong earthquakes due to continuous movement of tectonic plates.

PHIVOLCS advised the public to protect themselves during strongly felt earthquakes by doing the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” procedure. At home and in workplaces, heavy furniture and appliances should be securely anchored to walls, while hanging objects should be properly fastened to prevent injuries.

In response, North Fairview High School (NFHS) conducted a program that included a lecture, discussion, and partial simulation aimed at strengthening students’ awareness and readiness on proper response during emergencies, particularly in the event of a strong earthquake.

Disaster risk reduction authorities encouraged the public to stay prepared by observing safety protocols and taking part in regular earthquake drills to improve response during emergencies.

This day, the Philippines rose as a nation, shaped by the bravery of those who chose to fight, resist, and stand for independence.

What we now call freedom... was once a dream fought for everything they had.

Freedom wasn’t given. It was earned through struggle, sacrifice, and unwavering love for the nation.

Today, we don’t just celebrate this history—we live it. In every act of unity, we choose to be proud of who we are as Filipinos.

And so as we celebrate Independence Day, we carry the legacy of our heroes, with pride, unity, and love for the Philippines.

Fresh Look, Fresh Start: We're Back at School!

How's your week going, Fairvians?

With the successful completion of Brigada Eskwela last week, North Fairview High School (NFHS) welcomes its gate as School Year 2026-2027 has officially begun.

Give yourselves a much-deserved round of applause for staying present, active & healthy in the first week of classes. That will truly help you with small steps to have a great academic start.

As we begin the school year, take note that there is no rush or pressure should build up inside you. It is still a long way to go. Just enjoy the journey, embrace changes, and stay connected with Press Up.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥: 𝐀 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥

North Fairview High School successfully concluded its five-day Brigada Eskwela 2026, bringing together students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and community partners in preparation for the new school year.

Activities included the Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off and Culminating Programs, campus clean-up drives, the Greening Program, Gulayan sa Paaralan, orientation and simulation activities for Grades 7–10 and Senior High School learners, the ARAL Program Culminating Activity, and a Philippine Red Cross Medical Mission and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Seminar that provided health services and emergency preparedness training to participants.

As Brigada Eskwela 2026 comes to an end, the spirit of bayanihan continues to shine through every act of participation, proving that a united community can create a stronger and more welcoming learning space for everyone.

North Fairview High School (NFHS) welcomes Ms. Cachola C. Ramos as the school's new Assistant Principal. With her passion for education, she joins the NFHS family ready to inspire growth and foster a positive learning environment for every Fairvian.

As she takes on this important role, we look forward to her guidance and leadership in helping our school reach greater heights. Together, let us continue building a stronger, more inclusive, and more successful NFHS for all!
