[Day 2: Accompanying with Care]
Jo-ed Tome reminded us to practice mindful self-compassion first so we can truly meet young people where they are. Raine Eguico then challenged us to shift to a strengths-based approach, focusing on a young person's unique gifts and resources rather than just their struggles.

[Day 3: Forming from Within]
Fr. Jordan Orbe, SJ dove into holistic youth well-being, exploring how integrated spirituality and emotion regulation serve as powerful resources for the youth.

Participants were also given the chance to reflect on the kind of space holders that they are as companions to young people through an expressive arts activity.

It's an exciting time to journey and learn together with the participants who come from different institutions, religious communities, seminaries, and parishes in Davao and other parts of Mindanao.

As our Pastoral Leadership and Management for Mission (PLMM) participants reach the tail end of their semestral program, Ms Eva Galvey, co-founder of the Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation, guided our participants in exploring the art of attentive listening, discernment, and compassion. May this final module of our participants guide them as they continue to build a nourishing ministry of spiritual accompaniment that cultivates the true essence of a synodal Church in their respective contexts.

As an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, this 𝟭𝟲.𝟱-𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗙𝗦 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 aims to facilitate the practice of IFS for therapists working with their own internal systems to enable and develop their facility in doing IFS with clients.

It will offer an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 of reflections on and discussions of the theoretical foundations of IFS with experiential practice and an understanding of clinical applications in work with psychotherapy clients.

Participants will be 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 to 𝟭𝟴 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 (psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, graduate students who have completed their M.A. counseling courses) to allow depth of interaction and support in small group parts work (practice triads), IFS meditations and exercises, input and discussions in a space of safety, respect, curiosity, and compassion that is welcoming of all parts.

Since 1981, 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 has pioneered the psycho-spiritual approach in the formation of religious, seminary, and lay formators for the Catholic Church in the Philippines and nearby regions in Asia.

Emmaus continues to respond to this need to train formators with the 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗙𝗖𝗙).
