A legendary showing in honor of a legend! 🤺💙

The Ateneo Fencing Team delivered a strong performance at the Ang Maestro: Coach Benny Fencing Competition, held last 15-16 November 2025 in Pasig City.

Leading the way was Matthew General (12-Miki), who captured the Gold medal in the U17 Individual Sabre event. Joining him on the podium was Ygi Estrada (11-Campion), who earned Bronze in the same category.

The Ateneo de Manila Senior High School community joyfully celebrates the priestly ordination of Rev Fr Dom Joseph B Bulan SJ (HS 2009 Valedictorian), Rev Fr Bien Emmanuel C Cruz SJ (HS 2010), and Rev Fr James Augustus R Santos SJ. 🙏

From their years as Atenean students to their formation as Jesuits, Fr Dom and Fr Bien have embraced a vocation rooted in faith, discernment, and service. Their ordination marks the culmination of years of formation and the beginning of a new chapter of ministry dedicated to serving God and His people.

May their example inspire our students to pursue lives of meaning and mission, always seeking to become persons for and with others. 💙

What happens when ASHS teachers spend part of their vacation traveling to a remote island—not to relax, but to teach fellow educators? 💙

On May 22, the ASHS PINASulong team brought sessions on mental health, AI in education, classroom innovation, literacy, science research, Philippine history, and more to public school teachers in Bangbang National High School and Yook National High School in Marinduque.

From discussions on the "anxious generation" to practical workshops on AI-powered lesson planning, the one-day training became a powerful reminder that education transforms lives not only in classrooms, but also through collaboration among teachers.

Congratulations to recent graduate Nathan Neria of 12-Miki, Class of 2026, for being selected to represent the Philippines at the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), which will be held in Shanghai, China, this July 2026.

Nathan joins an elite six-member Philippine delegation composed of the country's top high school mathematics competitors. Widely regarded as the world championship of mathematics for high school students, the IMO brings together the brightest young mathematical minds from more than 100 countries each year.

The ASHS community is immensely proud of this remarkable achievement and of the dedication, discipline, and excellence that have brought Nathan to the world stage.

We wish Nathan and the entire Philippine Team the very best as they compete against the world's finest young mathematicians. May they represent our country with confidence, courage, and brilliance.

Fencers from the Ateneo Senior High School showcased skill, teamwork, and determination at the 4th PAREF Southridge Admirals International Fencing Championships, held last 24-25 January 2026 in Muntinlupa. 🌟

Mairon Moulic (12-Ogilvie) claimed gold in the U20 Individual Men’s Sabre category, while Julian Rosaros (12-Gonzalez) secured bronze. The success continued in the team event as Julian Rosaros, Matthew General (12-Miki), and Ygi Estrada (11-Campion) of the U20 Men’s Sabre Team A captured the gold medal. U20 Men’s Sabre Team B, featuring Migie Diaz (12-Solinas) and Michael Escutin (11-Torres), also earned bronze honors. 👏
