The Computer Engineering Seminar and Workshop 2026 was successfully conducted on May 8, 2026 at the Study Hall and Gallery of the Cinense Library. The event served as an academic platform that promoted technological innovation, professional development, and collaborative learning among aspiring computer engineers. Through a series of informative discussions and activities, participants were provided with valuable opportunities to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their understanding of the rapidly evolving field of technology.

The program was organized by the 4th year Computer Engineering students as part of the completion requirements for their Seminar and Field Trip subject. It aimed to cultivate academic excellence, encourage active collaboration, and equip students with relevant insights and practical perspectives essential to their future careers in the engineering and technology industry.

The success of the seminar was further highlighted by the participation of distinguished guest speaker Engr. Dave Emmanuel V. Nuada, CCpE, ECT, who generously shared his expertise, professional experiences, and industry knowledge with the participants. His inspiring discussion emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and adaptability, motivating students to pursue excellence and become competent professionals in the field of Computer Engineering.

Your success is a reflection of your confidence, dedication, charisma, and passion in representing not only yourself, but also the values of leadership, excellence, and service. You have shown that true achievement goes beyond the stage โ€” it is found in the way you inspire others, carry yourself with humility, and use your voice and presence to make a positive impact.

As a student of Computer Engineering, you continue to prove that excellence can shine in many forms โ€” in academics, in leadership, and in advocacy. Your accomplishment serves as an inspiration to fellow students to pursue their dreams fearlessly while balancing passion and purpose.

Your ICpEP.se UA family is very proud of you! ๐Ÿ’™

The CEA Fourth Year Students successfully conducted and defended their research studies during the CEA Research Colloquium 2026 held at the Monsignor Serrano Auditorium on April 29, 2026. The event served as a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, research findings, and technological solutions developed throughout their academic journey.

The participating Computer Engineering researchers were Neil Dominic P. Galan with the study titled โ€œThe TechMedic AI: A Smart Diagnostic Assistant for Automated Detection of Visible Faulty Electronic Components in Smartphonesโ€; Carl Andrew Y. Dizon, John Cyril D. Mungcal, Jeremy Paul T. Pangan, and Hazel Joyce Y. Sangil with their study โ€œOBSERVADRONE: Crowd Monitoring Drone for Detection of Emergencies and Unusual Eventsโ€; and Johann Alecksandrei G. Factora, Jericho C. Gatus, Gihann Patrix B. Manalang, and Resty James M. Nazareno with their study โ€œSmart Solar Panel Efficiency Maintenance and Monitoring System.โ€

The research presentations were evaluated by Dr. Marvin O. Mallari, Engr. Ruby Rosa N. Puno, PCpE, MIT, and Dr. Grosby A. Dela Cruz. We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the panelists for sharing their expertise, valuable insights, and constructive recommendations that contributed to the success of the colloquium and the improvement of the presented studies.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the guidance and support of the professors, staff, and administrators of CEA-STS, especially Dr. Joey M. Suba, MIT, AVPAA of STS, and Engr. Jenilyn A. Aquino, Dean of CEA.

Congratulations to all participants for their dedication, hard work, and contributions to academic research and innovation.
