Aira Valerie J. Antonio, a proud trainee of TESDA-Gonzalo Puyat School of Arts and Trades, successfully earned the Silver Medal in the Trade Area Cooking category during the WorldSkills PH Central Luzon Regional Skills Olympics held on May 11–13, 2026. Guided by the expertise, and unwavering support of her trainer, Dr. Catherine B. Codova, she demonstrated exceptional culinary skills, creativity, and professionalism throughout the competition. Her outstanding performance highlighted not only her passion for the culinary arts but also her strong competency in preparing and presenting various dishes under pressure.

This remarkable achievement reflects the quality of technical education and training provided by TESDA in developing globally competitive and highly skilled individuals. Aira’s success serves as an inspiration to fellow trainees to continue striving for excellence, perseverance, and mastery in their chosen fields.

We are still accepting enrollees for 3-year Diploma in Hospitality Technology (Leading to the B.S. in Hospitality Management). Second Batch of Screening will be on December 4, 2025, 9AM.

•Certification of Good Moral Character from the last school attended

Gonzalo Puyat School of Arts and Trades (GPSAT), in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Municipality of Candaba, Pampanga, successfully conducted a two-day Community-Based Training (CBT) on November 24 and 27, 2025. The initiative aimed to provide livelihood opportunities for local residents and equip them with practical skills that can strengthen their employability.

On November 24, 2025, the first part of the training was held in Barangay Sto. Rosario, where participants learned how to make pastillas and polvoron using accessible and affordable ingredients. They were also trained in making hand soap and dishwashing liquid which they can use either for personal household needs or for starting a small business.

Meanwhile, on November 27, 2025, the training continued in Barangay Dulong Ilog, where residents underwent another session on hand soap and dishwashing liquid production. In addition, they were introduced to Basic Electrical Theory which provided them with essential knowledge on preventing electrical-related accidents and addressing simple electrical issues safely and effectively.

The participants were mostly housewives and senior citizens, many of whom expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn practical, income-generating skills within their community. Through these trainings, GPSAT and PESO–Candaba continue to demonstrate their commitment to empowering local communities by bringing accessible, skill-based education directly to the grassroots level.
