Storytime: My hand and my first student's hand today.

I taught her when she was just turning seven. Back then, she was adamant to use ONLY her first 3 fingers. 😅 Three years later, her hands have grown bigger than mine (it's the one on the right), and she's tackling huge pieces that would make my pinkies protest.

In extended sessions, yes, this part can sometimes take a good hour. No, we don't play the piece yet. 😅 I'm grateful to have patient students!
