TAAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN THE NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2026

Taal National High School actively joined the nationwide conduct of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 on June 18, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of its learners and personnel.

Under the leadership of Mr. Arvin Jay G. De Ocampo, School DRRM Coordinator, students, teachers, and school personnel promptly observed the proper "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure as the emergency bells echoed throughout the campus, signaling the onset of a simulated earthquake.

With discipline and alertness, everyone immediately assumed safe positions while the drill was in progress. Once the signal ended, students and teachers calmly and orderly proceeded to their designated evacuation areas, following established safety protocols and evacuation routes.

To further strengthen emergency response preparedness, the Taal Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) led by SFO2 Glen Casumbal, Taal Philippine National Police (PNP), Taal Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Ms. Tricia Huelgas, MDRRMO III, and personnel from Barangay Poblacion 1 collaborated in staging a rescue operation involving a simulated injured student.

Proper rescue procedures and first-aid measures were demonstrated, providing valuable learning experiences for all participants.

The said simultaneous activity done around the country aimed to equip learners, teaching personnel, and stakeholders with the knowledge, skills, and presence of mind necessary to respond effectively during emergencies and disasters that may occur during school hours.

With Dr. Lorna U. Dinglasan, Principal IV, Taal National High School extends its sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all uniformed personnel, DRRM officers, and partner agencies whose invaluable support contributed to the success of the drill.

Preparedness today saves lives tomorrow. As the ground may shake without warning, knowledge, readiness, and teamwork remain our strongest foundations for safety.

HONORING THE LEGACY OF FREEDOM ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) of Taal National High School proudly joined the nation in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence through their participation in the Parada ng Kalayaan held at the Quirino Grandstand, Luneta, on June 12.

Accompanied by Dr. Annaliza M. Catapang and Ms. Engracia B. Dimaano, selected GSP members took part in this historic celebration that paid tribute to the courage, sacrifices, and unwavering patriotism of the Filipino heroes who fought for the country's freedom and sovereignty.

More than a ceremonial gathering, the event provided an opportunity for the young scouts to deepen their appreciation of Philippine history, strengthen their sense of national identity, and reflect on their role as responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.

As we celebrate 128 years of Philippine independence, may we continue to honor the legacy of our forefathers by upholding the ideals of freedom, unity, and nation-building for generations to come.

RAISING THE COLORS OF LEADERSHIP: TAAL NHS HONORS THE NATIONAL FLAG DAYS

True leadership is not just about giving directivesโ€”it is about climbing the ladder, holding the ropes, and working together to elevate the symbols of our nationhood.

In accordance with Republic Act No. 8491, otherwise known as the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines", which mandates the display of our National Flag from May 28 to June 12, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Taal National High School proudly leads by example in igniting the flames of modern nationalism and bayanihan.

Demonstrating that great leaders are born from selfless service, our dedicated SSLG Advisers, Mr. Teodoro A. Atienza and Ms. Baby Ann B. Bathan, stood side-by-side with our visionary SSLG President, Ejay A. Yongco, and the rest of our student-officers. Together, they labored to drape our school in the proud colors of red, white, and blue proving that love for country is best expressed through active civic participation and shared responsibility.

This inspiring initiative was made possible through the empowering guidance and unwavering support of our school leaders, Principal Dr. Lorna U. Dinglasan and Head Teacher III Ms. Rochelle G. Perez, whose leadership continue to cultivate a culture of patriotism, excellence, and high-flying ideals within our institution.

By raising this flag, we do not just display a piece of cloth; we honor the sacrifices of our heroes and challenge the youth to become the nation-builders of tomorrow.

Let our flag fly high and let our love for the motherland burn even brighter! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
