One Community, One Vision: SPTA Election 2026
--------------------------------------------------------
On the afternoon of Friday, June 19, 2026, the Maharlika Integrated School community gathered at the MIS Covered Court for the highly anticipated SPTA Election for S.Y. 2026-2027.
The event began with a spirit of unity and purpose. After the preliminary activities—which included an inspiring invocation by Jeanson L. Castigador, a nationalistic song led by Laurence S. Abbilul, and an insightful statement of purpose from Principal IV, Dr. Romeo O. Olalo—the school officially introduced the newly elected HrPTA Presidents from Kindergarten to Grade 10.
With the process clearly outlined by Pinky Q. Corminal, the election proper proceeded smoothly. The diligent work of the various committees—from registration and documentation to the careful management of ballot boxes and official ballots—ensured a fair and organized experience for all parents and teachers. Following the voting, the tabulators from Grades 4 and 7 meticulously counted the ballots, leading to the formal proclamation of winners by the Election Committee (ELECOM) Chairman, Dr. Kimberly G. Jordan.
The day concluded with closing remarks from Master Teacher I, Carlo Magno L. Dischoso, leaving the community inspired by the day's events. As noted in the program, the event served as a true reflection of the belief that, "By voting, we add our voice to the chorus that forms opinions and the basis for actions." It was a successful day of civic engagement and partnership, setting a positive tone for the school year ahead.

Empowering Readers, Transforming Futures: A Successful Reading Nook Orientation Unites Educators for Literacy Excellence
The spirit of collaboration and commitment to literacy was evident during the successful conduct of the Reading Nook Orientation held on July 18, 2028. The morning session brought together the dedicated teachers of Grade 2, Grade 3, and Kindergarten PM Session, while the afternoon session was attended by the enthusiastic educators of Grade 1 and Kindergarten AM Session.
The orientation was facilitated by Ms. Maita C. Tan, Reading Coordinator and Julie Nudzmirah I. Bantayan, Reading Nook Coordinator. Mam Maita C. Tan comprehensively discussed the importance, functions, and proper implementation of the Reading Nook Project. Through her insightful presentation, participants gained a deeper understanding of how the Reading Nook can serve as a powerful tool in fostering a culture of reading, enhancing learners' literacy skills, and nurturing lifelong readers.
Adding inspiration to the event was the presence of Ma’am Maria Ligaya P. Gepollo, PSDS of Cluster IV, who graced the gathering and shared an uplifting message emphasizing the vital role of teachers in shaping the reading journey of every learner. Her words encouraged participants to continue championing literacy initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impacts on students.
The orientation proved to be a successful gathering of minds, where educators actively exchanged ideas, reflected on best practices, and strengthened their shared vision of improving learners' reading abilities. The participants collectively expressed their commitment to implementing the Reading Nook Project with fidelity, creativity, and dedication to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to develop strong reading habits and skills.
The success of this meaningful undertaking would not have been possible without the unwavering support and leadership of Mr. Romeo O. Olalo, School Head, whose commitment to quality education continues to inspire innovation and excellence within the school. Likewise, heartfelt appreciation is extended to Ma’am Jonicelle T. Hernandez, Master Teacher-in-Charge in Reading, for her guidance, encouragement, and steadfast support in promoting literacy programs that empower both teachers and learners.
As the orientation concluded, participants left inspired and equipped with renewed enthusiasm to transform their classrooms into literacy-rich environments.
