𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | National Electronics and Telecommunications Week highlights the important role of Electronics Engineering in building faster communication, better technology, and stronger connections across the world. It aims to continue shaping the way people live, work, and communicate every day.

The field of Electronics Engineering continues to contribute to different industries such as telecommunications, broadcasting, information technology, satellite communications and many more proving how important technology is in connecting people and improving everyday life.

As technology continues to evolve, the demand for innovation and skilled engineers also continues to grow. As future Electronics Engineers, let us continue to dream big, aim high, and help shape a future where technology creates stronger connections, improves lives, and drives progress for generations to come.

On April 07, 2026, the HEARS-UMTC Society, in partnership with DX9NHR NORCOM HAM RADIO NETWORK INCORPORATED, successfully conducted the Orientation Seminar on the Fundamentals of Amateur Radio at the UMTC Visayan Campus.

The seminar was organized to fulfill the requirements of NTC Memorandum Circular No. 6-7 for Class C and D Amateur Radio Operator Examinations. It was headed by DX9NHR NORCOM HAM RADIO NETWORK INCORPORATED, with distinguished speakers delivering key elements of the program:

Harold C. Arangorin, DV9AVC: Element 2 – Radio Rules and Regulation

Ryann Jusil C. Ocial, DV9KPV: Element 3 – Electrical and Electronics Principles and Element 4 – Amateur Radio Practice

This activity provided participants with essential knowledge on radio rules, electronics fundamentals, and practical applications, equipping them for their future journey as amateur radio operators. The seminar concluded with active engagement and appreciation from attendees, marking another milestone in the Society’s commitment to education and community service.

Engr. Glen D. Espinosa, an alumni of UMTC-AECES, is leading the way in strengthening connectivity across Mindanao. As a Project Management Operations Manager for the DITO Project, he plays a key role in turning plans into fully operational sites.

He handles project operations from start to finish, making sure everything is documented, from site acquisition up to final acceptance. His work helps keep each project organized and on track. Through careful coordination and strong attention to detail, he helps bring communication networks to life. Through his role, he shows how Electronics Engineers can also be part of building and managing the systems that keep people connected.

"Dream big, work hard, and believe in the potential of your ideas. You are the future of technology." May this drive us forward and to be more motivated and push ourselves to work hard and achieve our dream.
