HOMILY • Mass of the Holy Spirit

Gathered in faith, the Nicolasian community celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit, which is a cherished Catholic tradition that traces back to the earliest universities of Europe and continues to guide Recollect schools around the world today.

As the school year begins, students, faculty, and staff entrust their journey to the Holy Spirit, seeking wisdom, strength, and guidance in this school year. The celebration serves as a reminder that CSNTR is not only a place of academic learning but also a community that is dedicated to the holistic formation of the mind, heart, and soul, grounded in the core values of a true Recoleto.

Reflecting on the Gospel, where Jesus greets His disciples with peace and bestowed upon them the Holy Spirit, Rev. Fr. Ernil F. Almayo, OAR emphasized that the Holy Spirit is what strengthens us amid fear, uncertainty, and challenges.

“We are experiencing effects of uncertainties that test our faith and courage, yet the Holy Spirit strengthens us to face these realities with courage,” he stated. Inspired by this message, Nicolasians are called to continue striving to become the best version of themselves, growing not only in knowledge and academics but also in character, compassion, and service to the community.

A new school year begins, bringing fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. As we open the School Year 2026–2027, we warmly welcome all our dear Nicolasians back to campus!

May this school year be filled with meaningful experiences, lasting friendships, exciting discoveries, and countless moments of achievement. Together, let us embrace every challenge with courage, every lesson with enthusiasm, and every opportunity with gratitude.

Please be informed that the Orientation for Parents and Guardians will be held tomorrow at 9:00 AM at the School Gymnasium.

In view of this activity, all school offices will be temporarily closed from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM to facilitate the conduct of the orientation. Office operations and all transactions, including enrollment services, will resume at 10:00 AM.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We warmly invite all parents and guardians to attend the Parents and Guardians Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 on June 5, 2026 (Friday) at 9:00 AM at the Fr. Echavarri Activity Center.

This orientation will provide important information regarding school policies, academic programs, student services, and activities for the upcoming school year. It is also an opportunity for us to strengthen the partnership between home and school in supporting the holistic growth and success of our students.

MANOS UNIDAS 2026 KICKS OFF AT CSNT-R

Colegio de San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos (CSNT-R) officially launched Manos Unidas 2026, the school's version of Brigada Eskwela, today as part of its preparations for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

Students, parents, guardians, faculty members, and staff came together in a spirit of volunteerism and cooperation to clean and prepare the school's classrooms and facilities. Armed with cleaning materials and a shared commitment to service, participants swept floors, dusted furniture, cleaned windows, arranged learning spaces, and ensured that classrooms would be ready to welcome students for the new school year.

The activity highlighted the importance of community involvement in creating a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment. Through the collective efforts of all stakeholders, CSNT-R continues to foster a culture of unity, stewardship, and shared responsibility.

The school expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this meaningful undertaking. Through Manos Unidas, the CSNT-R community demonstrates that by working together, much can be accomplished for the benefit of all learners.
