Santa Ignacia North Central Elementary School (SINCES) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026.

SANTA IGNACIA, TARLAC — Santa Ignacia North Central Elementary School (SINCES) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026.

The nationwide drill officially commenced at 9:00 AM with participants practicing the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol. Upon hearing the siren, students and teachers immediately took cover under their desks before executing a calm and orderly evacuation to the school’s designated open spaces.

Once assembled, teachers conducted a rapid headcount to ensure all learners were safe and accounted for. Spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Department of Education (DepEd), the quarterly exercise aims to instill a culture of preparedness and ensure the school community can respond effectively to real seismic emergencies.

The SINCES community proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Grade 5-SSES pupil Jhunn Eus L. Castro, who brought honor and pride to the school by winning Silver Medals in both the Mathematics and Science Categories during the SIAM International Math and Science Olympics (SIMSO) 2026.

The prestigious competition was held on May 3, 2026, at the GT Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, gathering talented young learners from various schools and countries to showcase their excellence in Mathematics and Science.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱!

Santa Ignacia North Central Elementary School successfully wrapped up the second day of its 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗔𝗗) 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 with the theme:

“𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.”

Day 2 was marked by meaningful collaboration, reflective learning, and productive workshops that deepened participants’ understanding of gender-responsive project development. Through interactive activities and shared experiences, educators gained valuable insights on creating programs and initiatives that promote inclusivity, equality, and empowerment.

As the training comes to a close, we celebrate not only the knowledge gained but also the strengthened commitment of every participant to build a more gender-fair and inclusive school community.
