This past Saturday, June 13 — early in the morning — Sapang Maragul Integrated School (SMIS) Youth Organization, school administrators, supportive parents, together with Principal Ma’am Ma. Heidi F. Adi, gathered for an environmental service activity to clean and improve our school grounds.

A school is a place for learning — but without proper cleanliness and orderliness, it can pose risks to the health and safety of every learner. Project LIKAS aims to promote discipline, care, and collective action to maintain a safe, green, and healthy environment within our school and community. Through small but united efforts, we help build a space where every student can study, grow, and dream freely — paving the way toward a brighter and better future for all.

Ngayong ika-128 taon ng Araw ng Kalayaan, ating ginugunita ang kagitingan, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamit ang kalayaan na ating tinatamasa ngayon.

Nawa’y maging inspirasyon sa bawat isa ang kanilang katapangan upang patuloy nating pangalagaan ang ating bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa, paggalang, at malasakit sa kapwa.

Today, our learners actively participated in the Morning Toothbrushing and Handwashing Activity, beginning their day with clean habits and bright smiles.

With every brush of their teeth and every wash of their hands, the learners were reminded that proper hygiene is essential in maintaining good health. These simple daily practices help prevent the spread of germs and contribute to a safer and healthier school environment.

This activity was more than just a morning routine—it was a meaningful lesson on responsibility, self-care, and the importance of developing healthy habits at an early age. Through consistent practice, learners are encouraged to value cleanliness as part of their everyday lives.

Today, both our elementary and high school learners actively participated in the Toothbrushing and Handwashing Drill, a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting proper hygiene and healthy living within the school community.

As part of Project Bayan, we gathered this afternoon to honor our national flag and demonstrate our love and respect for the country. This activity serves as a reminder of the values of unity, discipline, responsibility, and patriotism that guide us as students and citizens.

First day of school always feels like stepping into a whole new world—bright, buzzing, and full of fresh possibilities. As I walked through the school gates, the air hummed with excitement and nervous energy; students laughed and greeted friends they hadn’t seen in months, while others wandered wide-eyed, looking for their classrooms.

The hallways smelled faintly of floor wax and new notebooks, and every face seemed to hold a mix of anticipation and jitters. When I finally found my seat, I looked around at unfamiliar faces, wondering who would become my closest friends and what adventures this school year would bring.

By the time the bell rang to start our first lesson, my nervousness had melted away, replaced by a warm, hopeful feeling—ready to learn, grow, and make wonderful new memories.
