The SPCFI ROTC Cadets have successfully completed another phase of Training.
ON JUNE 14, 2026 at Camp Aquino, 3RCDG RESERVE, COMMAND PHILIPPINE, ARMY. Closing and opening of (RSCT MS-3) and (ARAPT MS-31/32).
Twenty Strong men and women, Advance ROTC Cadets of the SPCFI ROTC Unit have successfully completed RSCT/ARAPT CL 01-2026 "SANSIKLAB".
ST. PAUL ROTC UNIT proudly commends its Advance Cadet Officers for successfully completing the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) 31/32.
The ST. PAUL ROTC UNIT recognizes and honors their dedication and perseverance, as their unwavering commitment continues to uphold the unit’s legacy of developing competent and principled leaders.

On 111600H APRIL 2026, Cpl Jone Vizier Palada (Inf) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie PA (Res), Instructor, 2LT ROGER M DAGUIO PA (RES), Training Officer, 2LT RIZZA R GRANADOZEN PA (RES) Admin/ Training Officer, Pvt Gerald Espiritu PA (Res) GMA, the St. Paul Colleges Foundation Inc. ROTC Unit held a meaningful event at the school’s Conference Room in Brgy. Samput, Paniqui, Tarlac. The activity was the Closing Ceremony for Basic ROTC Cadets and the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) for School Year 2025-2026, together with the Donning of Ranks and Change of Command Ceremony.
The program started with the entrance of colors, national anthem, and invocation. Welcome remarks were given by Mr. Arnold S Bala. The Commandant presented the graduating cadets, and COL LEONARDO A SORATOS GSC (ARM) PA, Director of 302CDC, formally declared them graduates. Certificates were distributed, and messages were shared by the commandant and other officers. Newly enlisted reservists also took their oath during this part.
Next was the Donning of Ranks for cadet officers, led by COL LEONARDO A SORATOS GSC (ARM) PA, Director of 302CDC. Orders was red by 2LT RIZZA R GRANADOZEN AGS PA (RES), who also served as the Master of Ceremony. A message was given by the CDC Director to inspire the new officers.
The Change of Command Ceremony followed, where C/LTC JHON PAUL D CABISO 1CL red the relinquishment order and C/MAJ SHIELA MARIE P GABUYA 2CL red the assumption order. The unit symbol was turned over, and the new Corps Commander gave her message. LTC CARLOS A LAPUS JR PA (RES) introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Mr Bishop Mario B Gaña, CEO/President of St. Paul Colleges Inc., who shared an inspiring message to everyone.
The event ended with the awarding of tokens and certificates, the singing of "Awit Kawal" and "Pilipinas Kong Mahal", and the exit of colors.
This occasion is a very important part of the ROTC Program. It shows the end of one chapter and the start of another for the cadets. It highlights the discipline, courage, and love for country that they learned, just like what is sung in our songs. The ceremony proved that ROTC continues to train young people to become good leaders and responsible citizens ready to serve.

On 280700H MARCH 2026 SSg Rex C Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie PA (Res), Instructor, Cpl Jone Vizier Palada (Inf) PA, Pvt Jenard Espiritu PA (Res) GMA, with the Cadet Officers was guided the COQC and Basic Cadets to their 11th day of training. They started the day with a reveille exercise with the cadet officers.
After that they performed their knowledge about the BASIC FACING TECHNIQUES guided by the cadet officers. Furthermore, Cpl Jone Vizier Palada (Inf) PA, was introduced by SSg Rex C Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, as the next Admin NCO of SPCFI ROTCU. He also gave a short introduction of himself as the next Admin NCO and a briefing about how he expected the Cadet Officers and all of the cadets should act as a unit. They also participated in the ROTC MONTH, ROTC: Shaping Disciplined Patriots Steward of the Nation-Building and Pillars of National Security, giving a short recognition about ROTC.
This was followed by Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie (Res) PA, Instructor, taught about MILITARY MOUNTAINEERING to ROTC cadets. He discussed basic considerations, types of rope, how to care for ropes, and their different parts. The lessons focused on safety and proper use of equipment during outdoor military activities. Cadets learned why rope management is critical for missions and training exercises in rough terrain. They also practiced handling ropes to get hands-on experience with the tools. The second lesson was discussed by SSg Rex C. Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, handled the INTRODUCTION TO SIGNAL COMMUNICATION subject. He covered the phonetic alphabet and numerals, means of communication, and signal operations. He explained how clear communication helps avoid mistakes in military tasks. Cadets practiced using the phonetic alphabet to send accurate messages. Different ways of passing information, like visual and audio signals, were also shown to them. Both subjects were important for building essential skills in the ROTC program. They prepared cadets for different challenges they might face in service. The training helped develop discipline and teamwork among all the participants.
Before the day has end the cadets take their final examination of second semester for the MS2. That was guided by the cadet officers as they take their final examination.

On 021700H MARCH 2026 SSg Rex C Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie PA (Res), Instructor, 2LT ROGER M DAGUIO PA (RES), Training Officer, with the Cadet Officers was guided the COQC and Basic Cadets to their 10th day of training. They started the day with a reveille exercise with the cadet officers.
After that they performed their knowledge about the MANUAL OF ARMS guided by the cadet officers.
This was followed by a lecture about MAP READING AND LAND NAVIGATION that was conducted by 2LT ROGER M DAGUIO PA (RES), Training Officer, the cadets acquired comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in Map Reading and Land Navigation. They studied the fundamental importance of these skills in military operations and understood how proper map care ensures the reliability of critical information in the field. The sessions covered the proper techniques for reading maps, interpreting symbols, and identifying various terrain features. They also explored the different categories of military maps, with a specific focus on classifications based on scale.
They also solved complex distance-time-rate problems, which helped them understand how to calculate movement speeds and travel times effectively. These lessons provided them with the essential foundation needed to navigate unfamiliar terrain with confidence. Furthermore, the practical application of these concepts sharpened their decision-making abilities and prepared them thoroughly for the demands of actual field training.

On 014700H MARCH 2026 SSg Rex C Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie (Res) PA, 2LT RIZZA R GRANADOZEN PA (RES), Admin/Training Officer, with the Cadet Officers was guided the COQC and Basic Cadets to their 9th day of training. They started the day with a reveille exercise with the cadet officers.
After that they performed their knowledge about the MANUAL OF ARMS guided by the cadet officers and they also performed the PASA MASID led by the cadet officers as their platoon leaders.
This was followed by 3 lecture topics, the first topic was discussed by 2LT RIZZA R GRANADOZEN PA (RES), Admin/Training Officer, about MILITARY CORRESPONDENCE. They taught them about the type of communication that military personnel used to send information, orders, or ideas from one person to another. In this topic they will understand how military personnels properly understand instructions and coordinate their tasks properly. They also taught on how communication process help on how a message is send and received through the use of communication process. Lastly they showed an example of military letter to give them an idea how a military letter wrote, also explained to them different parts and on how this kind of letter can be done. The second lesson was all about GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD), explained to them about the development approach that men and women should have equal opportunities to achieve in life. Also give them knowledge what is the difference about gender equality, gender equity and about gender issues that we have todays generation. The last lesson was discussed by Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie (Res) PA, Instructor, about FUNDAMENTALS OF MARKSMANSHIP. In this lesson it explained what is the importance of marksmanship and what is the Traidor of Marksmanship, and also taught about the Four Cardinals of Gun Safety on how they can protect themselves and other peoples safety while holding a gun. The instructor also demonstrated the different positions on how to hold a gun with different techniques and methods while pointing to a target.

The Cadet officers and Advance cadets of St. Paul Colleges with the guidance of SSg Rex Aninzo (SC) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Emil Anthony Lavapie (Res) PA, Instructor they also participated in Blood Donation activity to help the advocay to hepl other people. Give a full support in helping other who need medical support. The SPCFI ROTCU participated to show gratitude and full support to in helping people thru blood donation, as a future leaders.
