ADVISORY NO. 22
SHIFT TO ONLINE LEARNING MODALITY ON JUNE 25-27, 2026

Per the memorandum issued today by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, all graduate, undergraduate, and Laboratory School classes shall shift to the online learning modality from June 25 to 27, 2026.

Students are advised to regularly monitor official University platforms and maintain communication with their respective instructors.

Meanwhile, enrollment operations shall continue as scheduled. Concerned offices and personnel are directed to ensure that all enrollment venues remain orderly, secure, and accessible to students and stakeholders. Students are encouraged to complete their enrollment transactions promptly and leave the campus thereafter.

Students undertaking on-the-job training (OJT) or internship programs are still expected to report to their respective offices.

Office operations shall remain open for face-to-face transactions from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For the information and guidance of all concerned.

Congratulations to Ms. Ma. Katrina M. Rivera, faculty member of the Department of Communication, for winning the 1st Best Paper Award (Graduate Level) in the Social-AANR (Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources) Category during the BSU 10th University Student Research Congress held on June 3–4, 2026.

She also received the 1st Best Paper Award in the Social-AANR Category during the BSU-Open University Research Congress held on May 19, 2026.

Both awards were conferred for her research titled, “Perceived Attributes of Rice Crop Manager Advisory Service (RCMAS) and its Adoption among Rice Farmers in Tarlac Province.”

The Department of Communication proudly celebrates this achievement and commends her for bringing pride to the department.

This seminar is designed to equip students with essential workplace knowledge, professional ethics, and awareness on maintaining respectful and safe spaces in professional environments. In compliance with CMO No. 104, s. 2017 and the university’s OJT Manual, attendance to this seminar is 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 for all eligible Mid-Year OJT students and shall serve as a prerequisite for practicum/internship/OJT requirements.

For students who intend to request the opening of subjects this Midyear Term, please be guided by the following procedures:

1. Proceed to the Accounting Office and request for the computation of payment.
2. Accomplish the Request to Open Subject Form, available on the TSU website
3. Accomplish the Opt-Out Waiver Form, available on the TSU website
4. Ensure that all required documents are duly signed by the appropriate authorities.

Once all requirements have been secured and completed, attend the Midyear Enrollment Orientation on Tuesday at 8:00 AM at the Theater Room.

The orientation will also be attended by the College Dean and Department Head to discuss important matters regarding Midyear enrollment and subject offerings.

For the information, guidance, and compliance of all concerned.

Parents and/or guardians are also encouraged to attend the orientation to stay informed about the internship requirements, policies, procedures, and other important details of the program.

Today, May 30, 2026, officially concludes the Thesis Defense period of the Department of Communication, as students undergoing re-defense presented their final revisions and successfully completed one of the last requirements of their academic journey.
