Official Statement
Regarding the Security Situation on June 23, 2026
Tarlac State University wishes to inform its stakeholders that a bomb threat was received early this morning, June 23, 2026.
The TSU Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (TSU-DRRMC) immediately coordinated with the Tarlac City Philippine National Police (PNP). As a standard safety protocol, a lockdown was implemented across all campuses (Main, Lucinda, and San Isidro) restricting movement into and out of the premises to ensure the safety of our students and personnel.
The PNP-Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Canine Group conducted comprehensive security sweeps of all facilities.
Following these thorough inspections, the Main Campus was declared safe and cleared at 11:19AM, according to the Pollution Control and Safety Unit. Similar inspections were subsequently conducted at the Lucinda and San Isidro campuses, which were officially declared clear at 4:00PM and 5:55PM, respectively.
With all campuses officially cleared and secured by authorities, the university will resume all classes and administrative services tomorrow, June 24, 2026.
The TSU Administration expresses its sincere gratitude to the responding law enforcement agencies for their prompt and professional assistance. We also extend our appreciation to our students, faculty, and staff for their cooperation, understanding, and vigilance throughout the day.
The safety and security of our community remain our highest priority. Please be assured that we are strictly implementing our ingress and egress protocols to safeguard our students, employees, the transacting public, and other stakeholders.
