PAHIBALO! ๐ข
Daghang salamat!

Every new school year brings fresh opportunities, new beginnings, and dedicated individuals ready to answer the noble call of education. Today, we proudly welcome our newest Lasallian educators who have chosen to become instruments of learning, faith, and service in our academic community.
As St. John Baptist de La Salle reminds us, โYour pupils are the letters which you have to write with the pen of faith and which the Holy Spirit traces in the hearts of children.โ May our new educators embrace this mission with passion, compassion, and commitment as they guide our learners toward excellence and holistic growth.
Together, let us celebrate these inspiring individuals who are ready to make a differenceโone lesson, one heart, and one life at a time.
Welcome to the Lasallian family, dear teachers! ๐

On June 2, 2026, the Leadership Team and Key Personnel of De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College recently participated in an enriching Appreciative Inquiry Workshop, a day dedicated to fostering positive leadership, meaningful collaboration, and a culture of growth. The workshop was facilitated by Mme. Arlene V. Mercader, ASMS High School Alumna of Batch 1980 and presently a part-time teacher of DLSASMC.
Guided by the principles of Appreciative Inquiry, the participants engaged in interactive sessions on Appreciative Storytelling, Appreciative Leadership, Appreciative Listening, Appreciative Questions, and Appreciating Each Other. Through reflective discussions, team-building activities, and collaborative learning experiences, the workshop highlighted the power of focusing on strengths, successes, and possibilities as foundations for organizational excellence.
This workshop served as an important opportunity for the institutionโs leaders and key personnel to deepen their understanding of positive communication and transformational leadership. By strengthening relationships, promoting constructive conversations, and cultivating a shared vision for the future, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the mission of De La Salle ASMC. The insights and experiences gained from this workshop will contribute to building a more engaged, supportive, and empowered community dedicated to serving learners and stakeholders with excellence and Lasallian values.

One of the highlights of the week was our exciting ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐, where our little learners explored, played, and built friendships in a safe and engaging environment. This activity also served as a trial use of our Playland facility, giving families a glimpse of the joyful learning experiences that await our youngest Lasallians. As we prepare for full Playland operations, children will be encouraged to remove their shoes before entering to help maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly space for everyone.
Special commendations to Ms. Frelyn Laspona, our dynamic Nursery Teacher, with the assistance of our teacher aide, Ms. Babylou Ompoc for passionately leading and facilitating the trial class. Through their dedication, creativity, and nurturing approach, our young learners experienced a joyful and meaningful introduction to the Lasallian learning environmentโone that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.
Thank you to all the parents, guardians and children who joined us and made this special week a memorable one. We look forward to welcoming more young learners to a nurturing environment where learning and play go hand in hand!

Two weeks of learning, creativity, inclusion, and community empowerment culminated in a vibrant celebration through SIDLAK, the Year 1 Culminating Program of the Arts for Community Development initiative, a partnership between De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College (DLSASMC).
The event opened with the unveiling of the Visual Arts Exhibition, showcasing the creative outputs of our participants, followed by a meaningful rendition of the One La Salle Prayer and Lupang Hinirang in Filipino Sign Language by DLSASMC teachers. Inspiring opening remarks were delivered by Mme. Ma. Donitha C. Hernando, President and Chancellor of DLSASMC.
The celebration featured outstanding performances in Acting, Dance, Music and Rhythm, while the Production Design and Directing groups transformed the stage into a dynamic space for artistic expression. Together, these presentations highlighted not only the participantsโ growth in the arts but also the power of collaboration, inclusion, and community engagement.

The DLSASMC Alumni Officers and Jubilarian Representatives recently conducted an ocular visit and courtesy call with the school administration in preparation for the 2026 Alumni Homecoming on July 18, 2026, with the theme "Always Lasallian, Always Home."
Representing the Jubilarians were Joy Desuyo (HS '76), Gen Gen Calope (HS '81), Roel Desuyo (HS '86), Amor Macabane (HS '96), and Blinky Antonette Fuentes (HS 2006). Joining them were Alumni Association officers: Matet Loyola, President (HS '97), Orlean Merida-Celen, Treasurer (HS '99), and Esther Mamolang-Sabijon (HS '95).
The group was warmly welcomed by Mme. Ma. Donita C. Hernando, School President and Chancellor, together with Dr. Rowena Gular-Revecho, Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research (HS '85'); Mme. Gemma Ylanan-Benturado, Finance Officer (HS '82'); and Andy Calope, Documentation and Publications In Charge (HS '98).
As the DLSASMC community celebrates milestone anniversaries from 5 to 50 years and beyond, this year's Homecoming seeks to:
โข Reconnect as one Lasallian family;
โข Celebrate the simple joys of friendship and belonging; and
โข Renew love for the alma mater and the Lasallian spirit.
The day's visit and conversations reflected the excitement of welcoming alumni home once again. While the school has grown and changed through the years, the Lasallian spirit remains the same. It continues to bring generations of alumni together as one family and reminds them that their alma mater will always be home.
