2LUNGAN: Tutulungan kita at kakalingain - pagkbagabag: pahubog ng kakayahang pang kaisipan at damdamin
We are filled with gratitude as we look back on the successful implementation of "2LUNGAN: Tutulungan kita at kakalingain - pagbabagabag: paghubog ng kakayahang pang kaisipan at damdamin." This dedicated, full-day psychosocial initiative provided a safe haven for participants to address internal struggles, learn behavioral management, and build sustainable emotional strength.
Through the collaborative efforts of our facilitators and partners, we successfully executed a comprehensive, multi-stage program flow:
✨ Milestone Moments From The Event:
A Foundation of Trust: The day began with a formal opening and orientation by the Program Team and BJMP Staff, establishing clear parameters of safety, respect, and mutual support.
Breaking Barriers: Vienna Mi A. Feranil guided the group through interactive icebreakers, successfully shifting the room's energy toward openness, comfort, and collective goal-setting.
Facing the Challenges: In Session 1, Lorelei V. Sobremonte tackled the reality of facility-based stress, empowering participants to objectively analyze their individual psychological triggers and stress levels.
The Power of Shared Voices: The Project Team moderated an open forum where participants engaged in vulnerable, peer-to-peer dialogue, discovering that they are not alone in their emotional journeys.
Weathering the "Inner Storm": In a powerful afternoon workshop, Francis Erosa and Marichel Villa taught actionable emotional regulation. Participants walked away with physical tools—such as progressive muscle relaxation and controlled breathing—to de-escalate high-stress moments.
Sustaining the Commitment: The event culminated in a moving closing ceremony where participants received certificates and specialized activity kits designed to help them continue practicing these mental health exercises daily.
Thank you to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) for their progressive leadership and partnership, and to our exceptional facilitators who brought their expertise and heart to this advocacy. Together, we are proving that mental health care is an indispensable pillar of development and rehabilitation.
