As Academic Year 2025–2026 comes to a close, the Psychological Society of OLFU-Valenzuela reflects on a journey defined by purpose, growth, and service. Every program conducted, project completed, and milestone achieved stands as a testament to the dedication of the officers, members, advisers, and partners who made this year meaningful.

𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴-𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗽?⁣
Tuwing Araw ng Kalayaan, inaalala natin ang mga bayani na nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamit ang kasarinlan ng bansa. Ipinagdiriwang natin ang kalayaang kanilang ipinaglaban at ang soberanyang kanilang ipinamana.⁣

Ngunit sa ika-128 taon ng ating kalayaan, mahalagang tanungin ang ating sarili:⁣
𝐀𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐩?⁣

Sa panahon ng social media, madali nang magpahayag ng opinyon. Kasabay nito ang paglaganap ng disimpormasyon, mabilis na paghusga, at pagtanggap ng impormasyon nang hindi na nasusuri nang mabuti. Minsan, mas pinipili nating sumabay kaysa magsuri, at maniwala kaysa magtanong.⁣
⁣
Bilang mga Pilipino, mahalagang balikan ang diwa ng kapwa sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino. Ang ating mga salita, paniniwala, at kilos ay may epekto hindi lamang sa sarili kundi sa buong pamayanan. Kaya ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang karapatang magsalita, kundi pananagutang mag-isip nang mapanuri at kumilos nang may malasakit.⁣
⁣
Ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan, nawa’y hindi lamang natin ipagdiwang ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga bayani, kundi gamitin din ito upang hanapin ang katotohanan, pakinggan ang kapwa, at manindigan para sa ikabubuti ng bayan.⁣

Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan ay hindi lamang pagkakaroon ng boses, kundi pagkakaroon ng kamalayang gamitin ito nang may katotohanan at pananagutan.⁣

“Ang bansang marunong magtanong, magsuri, at makinig ay bansang tunay na malaya.”

And just like that,
the meetings grew quieter,
the late-night preparations became memories,
and the chapter slowly reached its final page. ✨

To the outgoing officers of the Psychological Society of OLFU-Valenzuela, thank you for becoming the minds behind every success and the hearts behind every moment. You carried the organization with passion, patience, and purpose — turning simple ideas into meaningful experiences, and ordinary days into memories worth keeping.

Though your term may end, the legacy of your leadership will linger in every future event, every inspired student, and every story the organization continues to tell.

And to our adviser, Stephen Mino, thank you for your guidance, support, and belief in the organization and its officers. Your wisdom and encouragement helped shape not only leaders, but also future psychology professionals who learned to lead with both intellect and compassion.
