To kick off Women's Month celebrations this March, a "SHE Leads Symposium" was held on February 27th, 2024, at the CatSU Extension Hall. This inspiring event gathered the leadership force of local women's clubs, featuring all their dedicated officers, for a seminar titled "Strong, hopeful, and Empowered Young Women Leaders in CatSU." It aimed to empower and equip these leaders as they guide and support the young women in their communities.

Calling all creative blooms! Virac is a name that is thought to come from the word โburakโ (flower). Inspired by this legend, Burak nin Virac (โThe flowers of Viracโ) is an invitation for aspiring florists to showcase their talent and passion through the art of flower arranging.

Registration Deadline: February 27, 2028
Contest Date and Location: February 28, 2024, 10:00AM Main Bldg. Lobby
Online and Onsite Voting: March 1 โ March 7, 2024
Proclamation of Winners: March 15, 2024
Criteria for Judging:
Harmony with Nature and Simplicity (40%)
Symbolic Meaning and Local Expression (30%)
Balance and Composition (20%)
Creativity and Innovation (10%)
TOTAL (100%)
Contest Guidelines:
1. Open to all female students of the Catanduanes State University.
2. Complete the registration Form
3. Be at the venue on February 28, 2024, 10:00AM at the CatSU Main Bldg Lobby.
4. Theme will be announced at the contest date and venue.
5. Use locally sourced, seasonal plants, leaves, twigs, flowers, and the likes from Catanduanes.
6. Bring your own vases and own materials to secure your flowers, plants, leaves, etc.
7. Ensure the arrangement fits within the 24 inches and 24 inches space.
8. Attach a brief description (maximum 50 words) explaining the inspiration behind your arrangement and any symbolic meaning it conveys.
9. Registration is free.

Represented by: The President Marvie Lalaine Vargas, The Auditor Chronicle Panti and The Treasurer Cindy Zuniega Fernandez, the CWC attended the event to take advantage of the knowledge and skills they need to manage the organizational finances effectively.
Participants of the event also had the opportunity to workshop what they have learned by working on real-world financial statement reconstruction scenarios.
The workshop provided valuable tools and confidence the student leaders need to take control of their finances and make informed financial decisions.
