Ruling on Cutting Hair and Nails in the First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

The person who intends to perform Qurbani (sacrifice) is advised in authentic Hadith not to cut their hair or nails after the moon of Dhul Hijjah appears until the sacrifice is completed. However, this ruling is recommended (Mustahab), not obligatory. This means acting upon it is better and more rewarding. Therefore, if someone cuts their hair or nails, they will not be considered sinful.
