🏆 PAUS Karachi Chapter Padel Tournament 2026 – A Celebration of Sportsmanship and Camaraderie 🏆

On 14th June 2026, the PAUS Karachi Chapter successfully organized a memorable Padel Tournament at Cafe Noir, bringing together the urology fraternity from across Karachi in an atmosphere of healthy competition and fellowship. The event was conducted under the presidency of Dr. Harris Hasson Qureshi, President PAUS-KC, and Dr. Ayesha Khan, General Secretary PAUS-KC.

The tournament featured enthusiastic participation from 10 teams representing some of the most prestigious institutions, including:

Following a series of highly competitive matches, four teams advanced to the semi-finals. The tournament culminated in an exciting final between SIUT Smashers represented by Dr. Harris Hasson Qureshi and Dr. Rabiullah, and TABBA Tigers, represented by Dr. Daniyal and Dr. Shiraz, with SIUT Smashers emerging as the Champions after an outstanding performance.

The event was made even more special by the presence of our respected senior urologists, legends of the specialty, and Heads of Departments from various institutions, whose participation and encouragement added immense value to the occasion.

The evening concluded with a trophy distribution ceremony, where the champions and runners-up were recognized for their achievements. A cash prize was also awarded to winners and runners up. The celebrations were followed by a delightful dinner.

PAUS Karachi Chapter extends its sincere gratitude to all participants, supporters, organizers, and distinguished guests who contributed to making this event a resounding success. We look forward to many more initiatives that promote collaboration, wellness, and camaraderie among urologists.

The Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS) monthly meeting was successfully held at Aga Khan University, Karachi, on Friday 22nd May 2026, bringing together more than 60 consultants, urologists, and trainees from across the Karachi Chapter.

The meeting was honored by the participation of distinguished urologists representing leading institutions, including Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Tabba Kidney Institute, Dow University Ojha Campus, and The Indus Hospital.

A key highlight of the session was the presentation of multiple interesting and thought-provoking clinical cases by residents, followed by engaging academic discussions and expert insights. These interactive deliberations reflected a high standard of medical discourse, encouraged collaborative learning, and reinforced PAUS’s commitment to advancing urological education, professional development, and excellence in patient care.

A successful and enriching Bladder Oncology Workshop was conducted at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Karachi, under the auspices of the PAUS Karachi Chapter. The workshop was presided over by Prof. Dr. Harris Hassan Qureshi, with Dr. Ayesha Khan serving as General Secretary. The event was expertly facilitated by Prof. Dr. Asad Shehzad Hasan and Prof. Dr. Gauhar Sultan, whose leadership and academic vision made the workshop highly impactful.

The scientific programme featured comprehensive lectures on contemporary concepts and recent advancements in bladder oncology by distinguished faculty including Dr. Syed Nazim, Dr. M. Hussain Siddique, Prof. Dr. Zakir H. Rajper, Dr. Shoaib Mithani, Prof. Dr. Harris Hassan Qureshi, Dr. Zohaib Zafar, and Dr. Syeda Zoha Abbas.

A major highlight of the workshop was the hands-on skills and simulation sessions, where participants actively engaged in:

✦ Conduit and Stoma Formation

The workshop brought together 30 participants, including urology residents and consultants, fostering collaborative learning, academic discussion, and practical surgical skill development in urologic oncology.

Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons Karachi Chapter is pleased to share the workshop program for the Hands-on Bladder Cancer Workshop being held on 20th May 2026 in collaboration with Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation and College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.

The workshop will feature interactive academic sessions, supervised surgical exposure, TURBT techniques, advanced cystoscopy, urinary diversion, multidisciplinary tumor board discussions, and contemporary evidence-based management of bladder cancer under the guidance of experienced faculty members.

The Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons Karachi Chapter is pleased to organize a Hands-on Bladder Cancer Workshop on 20th May 2026 in collaboration with Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation and College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. This focused academic and practical workshop is designed to enhance training in uro-oncology through interactive sessions and supervised surgical exposure. Forty shortlisted participants will gain valuable experience in TURBT techniques, advanced cystoscopy, urinary diversion, multidisciplinary tumor board discussions, and contemporary evidence-based management strategies for NMIBC and MIBC under the guidance of experienced faculty members. The Karachi Chapter looks forward to fostering an enriching environment of learning, professional collaboration, and surgical advancement in bladder cancer care.

A successful and academically enriching meeting of the Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS), Karachi Chapter, was held on 24 April 2026 at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre under the presidency of Prof. Harris Hassan Qureshi.

The session brought together esteemed urologists from leading institutions, including Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Indus Hospital & Health Network, Tabba Kidney Institute, and Kidney Centre.

The meeting featured insightful discussions on complex urological cases led by senior consultants, while also providing a valuable academic platform for residents to actively participate, learn, and engage in meaningful clinical discourse.

A highly successful and prestigious robotic surgery workshop was held at SIUT on behalf of PAUS Karachi Chapter. The workshop was formally accredited by CPSP, PSRS, and ACCME, reflecting its high academic standards and international recognition.

The program brought together leading surgeons and trainees from across the country, with 40 participants selected from over 150 applicants. It featured distinguished academic presentations and immersive hands-on training, including virtual reality robotic console simulation and bovine kidney suturing, offering invaluable practical experience.
