A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held on 13th May 2026 between the Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) following a meeting between Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and Mr. Sajid Hussain the Chairman Board of Studies PIPFA at ECP Secretariat, Election House Islamabad. The MoU aims to foster cooperation in the areas of professional development, training, internships, and knowledge sharing.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Sajid Hussain - Chairman Board of Studies PIPFA, Mr. Muhammad Sharif – BoG Member PIPFA, and Mr. Atiq Ur Rehman – Joint Director PIPFA Islamabad. Representing Election Commission of Pakistan were Mr. Omar Hamid Khan – Secretary ECP, Mr. Zafar Iqbal Hussain- Special Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Arshad – Special Secretary Law, Mr. Masood Akhtar Sherwanee – Special Secretary Political Finance and other notable members of the organization.
Mr. Sajid Hussain - Chairman Board of Studies PIPFA and Mr. Maqbool Hussain, Deputy Director (Accounts/Internal Audit) representing ECP singed the MOU.
The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to build strategic collaboration for the benefit of trainees and members. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to create new opportunities in education, finance, and career development.
Under the agreement, PIPFA and ECP will collaborate in the following key areas:
• Professional seminars, webinars, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Internship and training opportunities in public finance and related fields
• Participation in CPD activities and networking initiatives
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both organizations expressed confidence that this partnership would strengthen professional capacity building and enhance financial literacy among aspiring professionals.
Mr. Sajid Hussain, Chairman Board of Studies PIPFA, appreciated the collaboration and stated that PIPFA remains committed to building partnerships with reputable organizations.
This collaboration marks another important milestone in PIPFA’s continuous efforts to connect professional education with emerging opportunities in Pakistan’s public finance sector.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields among participants, followed by well-wishes for the continued prosperity, progress, and success of both organizations.
