We are excited to share that our founding executive member, Hussain Abdullah MD, will be serving as president Elect (2025-27) of New Jersey Chapter of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
Dr. Abdullah did Psychiatry residency from New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, NY and Addiction Medicine fellowship from Stanford University, CA. Dr. Abdullah is serving as Director of Outpatient Addiction Medicine services at Hackensack Meridian Health and Associate Program Director for Addiction Medicine Fellowship program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, NJ.
He has strong interest in de-stigmatizing care for substance use disorders, enhancing access to care of comorbid substance use and psychiatric disorders and developing programs to educate and manage adolescents at risk of developing substance use and related issues.
