APPLIED DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS CONFERENCE

Victoria Baranov is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne, an affiliate of the Centre for Market Design, CEPR, and a research fellow at the Life Course Centre and IZA. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. Her research focuses on the role of health, particularly psychological health, in the persistence of poverty. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics as well as the Journal of Health Economics and other peer-reviewed journals across multiple disciplines.
We are pleased to have Dr. Baranov as our plenary speaker this year for the 3rd Applied Development Economics Conference co-organized by the Lahore School of Economics, International Growth Centre (IGC) and the Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR). Don’t forget to register and attend this talk on “Maternal depression, parental investment and child development” to be held on 9th September 2021 from 1:30-2:30pm PKT.
