Description

The University of Edinburgh will offer 30 scholarships for PhD Research Programme in any field of study offered by the University for the 2017-2018 academic session.

Scholarship value/duration:

Each scholarship covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses.

Subject to satisfactory progress, the awards are tenable for up to three years.

Other requirements

The awards are open to overseas students commencing a PhD in any field of study in 2017-2018.

Applicants must be liable to pay tuition fees at the rate applicable to overseas students and must have been offered admission to a full-time PhD research programme of study.

To apply for a scholarship, you must first apply for admission for a PhD programme at the University of Edinburgh. Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application by 1 February 2017. Please note you will not be able to access the online application form unless you have applied for admission.

The main objective of education and research is to promote social justice and harmony in human societies, especially in the complex emerging global social system.
