Kite flying carries childhood memories, Basant celebrations, street energy, teamwork, and intense sky battles. Yet, this rich cultural tradition remains largely invisible in modern AI and visual datasets.
At the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐛 (𝐈𝐌𝐋𝐚𝐛), we are building a public AI dataset to preserve and study kite flying and kite fighting. We invite you to contribute real moments captured by real people. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬 𝐨𝐟
🔹 Kite flying and control (pina, string handling) — videos
🔸 Kite fighting actions — pulling, cutting, and Bo Kata moments — photos and videos
🔹 Preparing and handling kites — helping launch, putting tanawan, fixing kites, kanni — photos and videos
🔸 Flying locations — rooftops, streets, and open grounds
🔹 Festival skies filled with kites
🔸 Kites in the sky or resting on the ground
🔹 Kite images showing different types, colors, shapes, and environments
‼️ Phone photos and short videos are perfect. Please share public content or content you own and have the rights to share. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝.
