The most discussed subject in
theworld is “ terrorism “ .There
are so many theories about this
that one may feelconfused to
find out the definition and the
causes. Here from the point of viewof a common man some
words may be laid down.
‘Terrorism ‘got a
spectacularshape on and from
9/11 .The world with wide eye
saw two proud skyscraperscrushed to dust by
an angered strike. It changed
perhaps forever the mindset
ofworld population. The world
divided into two different
section; one condemnedit another legitimized it. Moreover
opinion took birth which tries
to tell thisis war between
“religions “. This is something
very “new”. There were
religiousconflicts here and there in the world in the past but it
had never got auniversal
interpretation. Theories
appeared in two shapes one
tells thatMuslims are the roots
of ‘terrorism ‘another tells that Muslims or Islam aretargeted
Surprising to note none of
these theories can be found in
wellwritten shape. Both are in
liquid shape in media or in
public mind. Bothprevail in the society invisibly and often come
out in different shape;expressed
violence or invisible silent
violence. In this backdrop the
worldlives in an atmosphere in
mistrust and hatred. It is noteworthy that
thisatmosphere gets
nourishment from different
quarters. It is also to note
thatthis atmosphere is not very
old. It may be said from nineties the world facedthis. At present
it is difficult for a common man
to find out the real cause ofit as
generally we are influenced
often with biased theories.
Apart from this,religious sentiments obscure the real
truth behind it. Though stress is given on
religiouspoint of view the main
reason is the “economic “one.
This needs a
detailedclarification. In a nut
shell it may be said the main root of this is thecorporate
interest to take control over the
“oil field “of the world.
Asincidentally most of the oil
fields are in the countries which
are predominantlyhaving Muslim citizens it seems that it
is a war against Muslims. In fact
thecorporate interest wants to
have friendly or puppet
governments there to
servethem. To reach this aim every possible conspiracy
hatched by the corporateworld.
It is very necessary to create an
atmosphere of unrest to
invadesilently and invisibly. It
can easily be noticed that there are many countrieswhich are
reeling under many ethnic
unrest and conflict internally.
Now‘terrorism ‘has many faces.
There are so many definitions of
“terrorism“propagated by the powerful and their pet media.
The “invisible “terrorism”gets
away unnoticed. We talk too
much about ‘religious
‘terrorism, a theorywhich is
made popular with well designed propaganda but we
remain unaware ofthe
“economic terrorism “which the
real devil which is the father of
“terrorism“in this world. In the
present world the most profitable business is
the“Weapon Industry “which
needs an atmosphere of “war
“to expand its market. IfPeace
be there then the weapon
industry has to be closed down. Investment ofbillion dollars will
be at stake. Interesting it is that
all warring partiesbuy weapons
from the same industry. So
much we heard about violence
but less weheard about from where so huge amount of
weapons are coming to all the
parties.The big producers of
weapon want to keep the
atmosphere violent so that
theycan carry on a roaring business. Another aspect is that
themultinational corporate
world wants Governments to
dance to their tune to servetheir
interest to make profits. To
make it possible through the governmentsthey instill a sense
of insecurity among the people
At their advice most ofthe
governments propagate that
the sovereignty of the country is
at stake in the hand of an “ enemy “ , the definitionof this “
enemy “ varies of ‘ neighbor
country ‘ to ‘ some religious
community‘. The Governments
make the people understand
that for “ protection “ of thecountry it is very much
needed to purchase “ weapons ‘
costing billions ofdollars ; for “
development “ it is needed to
take the dictation of IMF or
theMultinationals .The tools of such propaganda are the “
religious sentiment “ or“
distorted nationalism “ , the
easiest tools to drive the nail
properly. This is interesting to note that
thegovernments which give
lectures on national pride or
pretend to be sensitiveabout
sovereignty making “ laws “
which give lot of opportunity for themultinationals to do
business at the cost of national
resources , often huge ‘tax
exemption ‘ given to this
foreign companies at the cost of
state exchequers. If anyone goes through the “Special
Economic Zone Act “ (SEZ) of the
courtierswill find how silently “
modern colonies “ are coming
up in the countries ruledby the
so called “ patriotic “ governments. All of them selling
own countriesto the
multinationals pretending to be
the Guardian of any particular
“religion“or “nationalism “. In
most of the countries the governments made
“draconianlaw “to strangle the
peoples voice against the anti-
people policy of theconcerned
governments , the governments
propagate these “ laws ‘’ are necessaryto fight against “
terrorism “ , the enemy of ‘
religion ‘ or ‘ country ‘.Infact this
is the “real “ face of “ economic “
terrorism which hide behind
themask of “ religious “ terrorism. The later is created
and nourished for thegood
health of the first one. “Terrorism “needs enormous
amount ofmoney. If we
sincerely wish to find the
answer to find the source of
funds andthe supply of weapons
then we may find the ‘truth ‘.Human civilization solvedor
tried to solve many problems ,
history tells so. It is surprising to
seenone raises question if
“terrorism ‘is a problem why it
seems that there is noway to solve it. Any sensible mind can
feel this so called problem is
wellnourished to live by the
quarters that wants it to survive
for own vestedinterest. We should try to shed off the
spectacle of
“religioussentiments ‘and get
rid of our “hollow nationalism “,
otherwise the invisible
“economicterrorism “the real devil will keep us running after
the mirage of
“religiousterrorism “. We shall
remain ruled and be a slave of
distorted religioussentiments
and national pride taught by the corporate world and their
puppetgovernments. We shall remain gladiators
fightingwith each other and our
corporate masters shall clap
from the gallery merrilyon our
humiliated death.
