The 2nd International Conference on Climate Resilient Mountain Agriculture (CRMA-26) aims to bring together scientists, researchers, policymakers, development practitioners, and farming communities to share knowledge, experiences, and innovations for sustainable agriculture in fragile mountain ecosystems.

A valuable and informative practical visit was arranged to ARI Farm, where students gained hands-on experience in agricultural practices and crop production. The session was led by Dr. Akhtar Ali (PRO ARI), Mr. Faisal, and Mr. Ghaffar Ali, along with Teacher Mr. Adnan Khan.
During the visit, various tillage operations were demonstrated, and the scope and importance of Agronomy were explained in detail. Students were also introduced to major agronomic crops, including cereals, oilseed crops, sugar crops, and other important field crops.
This practical exposure provided students with an excellent opportunity to enhance their understanding and gain learning beyond the classroom environment.

سوات( ) یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات کی فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ کمیٹی (F&PC) کا 13واں اجلاس اور سنڈیکیٹ کا 19واں اجلاس 12 جون 2026 کو یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی پشاور کے کانفرنس ہال میں منعقد ہوا۔ دونوں اجلاسوں کی صدارت یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات کے معزز وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر داود جان نے کی۔فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ کمیٹی کے 13ویں اجلاس میں مشیر اسٹیبلشمنٹ و فنانس مسٹر اکبر خان نے مالی سال 2026-27 کے بجٹ سے متعلق ایجنڈا پیش کیا۔ اجلاس میں معزز اراکین مسٹر غلام نبی (ڈائریکٹر جنرل فنانس، ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن)، مسٹر محمد فاروق (ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری، محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم)، مس وردہ (ڈپٹی سیکرٹری، محکمہ خزانہ)، مسٹر شکیل خان (سیکشن آفیسر، محکمہ زراعت) اور ڈاکٹر ابرار الحق (رجسٹرار، یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات) نے شرکت کی۔
اجلاس کے دوران یونیورسٹی کے مالی معاملات، ترقیاتی منصوبوں، جاری اخراجات، تعلیمی سرگرمیوں اور آئندہ مالی سال کے مالیاتی اہداف کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا گیا۔ اراکین نے بجٹ کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر تفصیلی غور و خوض کے بعد مالی سال 2026-27 کے مجوزہ بجٹ کی متفقہ طور پر سفارش کی، جسے مزید منظوری کے لیے متعلقہ فورم کے سامنے پیش کیا جائے گا۔
فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ کمیٹی کے اجلاس کے فوراً بعد یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات کے سنڈیکیٹ کا 19واں اجلاس منعقد ہوا۔ اجلاس میں مسٹر نعمان احمد خان (ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن)، مسٹر ایم۔ اقبال (ریٹائرڈ ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن جج)، مسٹر محمد فاروق (ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری، محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم)، مس زہرا نگار (ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری، محکمہ اسٹیبلشمنٹ)، مس وردہ (ڈپٹی سیکرٹری، محکمہ خزانہ)، مسٹر شکیل خان (سیکشن آفیسر، محکمہ زراعت)، ڈاکٹر فرید اللہ شاہ (ڈائریکٹر ہائر ایجوکیشن)، مسٹر اکبر خان (مشیر اسٹیبلشمنٹ و فنانس)، ڈاکٹر مجید رشید (اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر، یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات) اور دیگر متعلقہ اراکین نے شرکت کی۔
سنڈیکیٹ اجلاس میں رجسٹرار ڈاکٹر ابرار الحق نے ایجنڈا پیش کیا اور مختلف انتظامی، مالی، تعلیمی اور تحقیقی امور سے متعلق نکات پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ اجلاس کے شرکاء نے ہر ایجنڈا آئٹم پر تفصیلی غور و خوض اور تبادلہ خیال کے بعد متعدد اہم فیصلوں کی منظوری دی۔سنڈیکیٹ نے مالی سال 2026-27 کے لیے یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات کے بجٹ کی منظوری دیتے ہوئے اسے سینیٹ کے سامنے سفارش کے لیے پیش کرنے کی منظوری دی۔ اسی طرح اکیڈمک کونسل کے 8ویں اجلاس کی سفارشات کی توثیق کی گئی جبکہ سال 2026 کے لیے پوسٹ گریجویٹ اکیڈمک کیلنڈر کی بھی منظوری دی گئی تاکہ تعلیمی سرگرمیوں کو منظم انداز میں آگے بڑھایا جا سکے۔
اجلاس میں ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن (HEC) کی ڈوئل، ڈبل اور جوائنٹ ڈگری پروگرامز پالیسی کو اپنانے کی منظوری بھی دی گئی، جس سے طلبہ کو ملکی اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر اعلیٰ تعلیمی مواقع فراہم کرنے میں مدد ملے گی۔ علاوہ ازیں ایڈوانسڈ اسٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ بورڈ کے پہلے اجلاس کی سفارشات کی بھی منظوری دی گئی، جس سے یونیورسٹی میں تحقیق اور اعلیٰ تعلیم کے فروغ کی راہ مزید ہموار ہوگی۔
اجلاس کے اختتام پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر داود جان نے تمام معزز اراکین کا اجلاس میں شرکت، قیمتی تجاویز، تعمیری آراء اور یونیورسٹی کی ترقی کے لیے بھرپور تعاون پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر سوات معیاری تعلیم، جدید تحقیق، مؤثر انتظامی نظام اور زرعی شعبے کی ترقی کے لیے اپنی کاوشیں مزید تیز کرے گی۔

Official Update | The University of Agriculture Swat
The 13th meeting of the Finance & Planning Committee (F&PC) and the 19th meeting of the Syndicate were held on 12th June 2026 at the Conference Hall of the University of Engineering, Peshawar. Both meetings were chaired by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan.
Mr. Akbar Khan (Advisor Establishment & Finance) presented the agenda of the 13th F&PC meeting regarding the budget for the fiscal year 2026–27. The meeting was attended by esteemed members including Mr. Ghulam Nabi (DG Finance, HEC), Mr. Muhammad Farooq (Additional Secretary, HED), Ms. Wardah (Deputy Secretary, Finance Department), Mr. Shakeel Khan (Section Officer, Agriculture Department), and Dr. Ibrarul Haq (Registrar, UoAS). The committee thoroughly reviewed and recommended the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2026–27.
The F&PC meeting was followed by the 19th Syndicate meeting, attended by Mr. Nauman Ahmad Khan (HEC), Mr. M. Iqbal (Retired District & Sessions Judge), Mr. Muhammad Farooq (Additional Secretary, HED), Ms. Zuhra Nighar (AS, Establishment Department), Ms. Wardah (Deputy Secretary, Finance Department), Mr. Shakeel Khan (Section Officer, Agriculture Department), Dr. Fareed Ullah Shah (Director Higher Education), Mr. Akbar Khan (Advisor Establishment & Finance), and Dr. Majid Rasheed (Assistant Professor, UoAS).
Dr. Ibrarul Haq presented the agenda of the meeting. After detailed deliberations on each agenda item, the following decisions were made:
• The budget of UoAS for the fiscal year 2026–27 was recommended to the Senate.
• Recommendations of the 8th meeting of the Academic Council were approved.
• The Postgraduate Academic Calendar for the year 2026 was approved.
• Adoption of the HEC Policy on Dual, Double, and Joint Degree Programs was approved.
• Recommendations of the 1st meeting of the Advanced Studies & Research Board were approved.
At the conclusion of the meetings, the Honorable Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude to all respected members for their valuable participation and contributions.
