Behind the Scenes at the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
As part of their educational visit to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, the young parliamentarians had the opportunity to explore the Program Control Room under the supervision of Senior recording Manager Mr. Asim Siddiqui, where live transmission and recording of assembly proceedings take place.
The visit gave participants a firsthand look at the technology and processes used to broadcast legislative sessions, helping them better understand how parliamentary proceedings are documented and shared with the public. It was an exciting learning experience that highlighted the importance of transparency, communication, and public access to democratic processes.

Champions of Right to Education | Educational Visit to the Minorities Affairs Department, Government of Sindh
As part of the Champions of Right to Education β Sindh Childrenβs Parliament initiative, young parliamentarians had the opportunity to visit the Minorities Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, for an engaging and inspiring learning experience.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Sanjay Raja, Executive Engineer, Minorities Affairs Department Sindh also the Founder of Sindh Reads, who introduced the children to the department's work and vision.
Ms. Krishna Kolhi (Ex-Senator PPP) also joined the session and inspired participants by sharing her remarkable journey from Thar to becoming a member of upper house i.e Senate of Pakistan, encouraging children to dream big and pursue their goals with determination.
The parliamentarians also attended a detailed presentation by Mr. Jamshed Alam Memon, Secretary, Minorities Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, who shared the departmentβs vision, key initiatives, achievements, and ongoing efforts to support minority communities. The session encouraged active participation from the children, who confidently raised thoughtful questions and shared recommendations on issues such as educational opportunities, scholarships, and hostel facilities for minority students, especially girls.
The learning experience was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Sham Sunder K. Advani, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Minorities Affairs, who engaged in an open and meaningful dialogue with the young parliamentarians. The children introduced themselves, shared their aspirations, and discussed the issues they believe deserve greater attention in education and child development policies.
During the visit, Mr. Sanjay Raja presented the SindhReads Drive, highlighting its mission to promote a culture of reading across Sindh by improving access to books and learning resources. The children were delighted to learn that they could request books of their interest through the initiative, making reading more accessible to young learners across the province.
The visit concluded on a memorable note as Dr. Sham Sunder K. Advani presented books from the SindhReads initiative to all participants and the TEA team, symbolizing the power of knowledge and the importance of nurturing a lifelong love for reading.
The visit provided a valuable platform for children to engage with policymakers, share their voices, and learn how government institutions work to create opportunities for communities across Sindh.

During the Budget Session 2026β27, members of the Children & Adolescent Parliament Sindh Right to Education Supported by Unicef And School education and literacy department had the valuable opportunity to attend and observe the proceedings of the Sindh Assembly, gaining firsthand insight into the budget-making process and democratic governance.
This is a significant milestone for Thar Education Alliance, as our young parliamentarians are attending the budget session and learning how parliamentary processes shape the future of Sindh.

Champions of Right to Education | Exposure Visit to the Human Resources Department
As part of the Champions of Right to Education β Sindh Childrenβs Parliament initiative, our young parliamentarians participated in an insightful exposure visit to the Human Resources Department.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Yaseen Qurban DG M&E and HR (SELD) & Mr. Kishor Kumar, Director HRM - Sindh Education and Literacy Department and who hosted an engaging session for the children.
During the visit, Mr. Yaseen Qurban shared an overview of the department, its vision, key functions, achievements, and future initiatives currently in the pipeline.
The young parliamentarians showed great enthusiasm throughout the session, actively participating in discussions and asking thoughtful questions to better understand how the department works and contributes to public service delivery. Their curiosity and engagement reflected a strong interest in learning about governance and institutional leadership.
The visit concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the participants and the team as a gesture of encouragement and appreciation.
