🌱 Plantation Drive 2026 | Growing a Greener Future Together 🌱
The Narjis Masooma Welfare Society, in collaboration with Multan Garden Center & Nurseries, successfully organized a Plantation Drive at the University of Southern Punjab (USP), Multan, with USP proudly serving as the Official Venue Partner for this meaningful environmental initiative.

The plantation activity was attended by Mr. Awais Majeed (Director Students Affairs), Mr. Rana Abid Hussain (Deputy Director Chairman Secretariat), Mr. Jamshed Razwani (Editor, South Today), and Dr. Khurram Shehzad (Head, Department of Civil Engineering), along with faculty members and students, who collectively planted trees to promote environmental sustainability and a greener future.

📚 International Symposium on Islamic Research Held at USP Multan

The Department of Islamic Studies, University of Southern Punjab (USP), Multan, successfully organized an International Symposium on “The Role of Islamic Research in the Reconstruction of Society.”

Distinguished scholars, including Dr. Ismat Batool, Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Paracha, and Dr. Sumaira Irfan (Malaysia) shared valuable insights on the role of Islamic research in addressing contemporary challenges, promoting ethical values, and fostering social development.

Prof. Dr. Saeed ur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, highlighted the department’s commitment to strengthening research culture and advancing impactful Islamic scholarship.
The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Rector, USP Multan, who emphasised the importance of quality research, academic excellence, and intellectual development in building a progressive and value-based society.

The symposium concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a renewed commitment to promoting meaningful research for the betterment of society.

At Southern Business School, USP Multan, a field-based Business Analytics Project titled “Business Analysis of Real-World Organisations” was successfully conducted, enabling participants to apply analytical and strategic concepts to practical business environments.
