A team from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) visited our school to conduct a session for Grade 6 students on the importance of being prepared for natural disasters.
The team explained different types of disasters that can affect our region and discussed practical steps students and families can take to stay safe. They highlighted how early preparation, awareness, and calm action during emergencies can reduce risk and save lives.

Students actively participated, asked questions, and learned about safety measures to follow at home and at school. The session was informative and helped raise awareness among students about their role in disaster preparedness.

Our young learners of Nursery C spread an important message through a meaningful skit on “Save Trees, Save Earth. They shared simple ways to protect trees and the environment, ending with a powerful tableau that reminded everyone of the importance of preserving nature for a greener future.

Students of Nursery-C explored the letter Q through different engaging activities including role play, craft-making, a matching game on tablets, and loose parts free play. The lesson followed a “voice and choice” approach, where students selected their own learning stations independently, making decisions about how they wanted to learn and explore.

Our Grade 1 students and parents joined hands in a creative Trash to Treasure activity, transforming recyclable materials into unique and useful creations. The event promoted creativity, environmental awareness, and meaningful parent-child collaboration.

Nursery C students enjoyed a delightful garden walk, exploring the beauty of nature around them. They carefully observed the plants, flowers, insects, and other interesting things in the garden. After the walk, the children expressed their creativity by drawing their favourite things they saw and liked during their exploration. A wonderful hands-on learning experience that encouraged observation, creativity, and appreciation for nature!
