GTTI Kohati Bazar, Rawalpindi | Industry Linkages & On-Job Training Update

Under the direction of the TEVTA Punjab Placement Department, Lahore Headquarter, and with the support of the District Placement Officer, Government Technical Training Institute Kohati Bazar is actively strengthening industry linkages for student placements.

Our institute delivers market and industry demand-driven courses with up-to-date practical training. The vision is simple: ensure our students gain real On-Job Training (OJT) in the industry during their program.

How it works:
Our 1-year students train from September to May at the institute, and complete a 2-month OJT in June-July. For the last 3-4 years, many students have been retained by the same companies after completing OJT. Most of our students do OJT in Rawalpindi/Islamabad and secure jobs right there.

This year we have signed MOUs with 20-30 organizations for OJT, including:

This initiative is part of TEVTA’s decision to maximize MOUs and ensure maximum students get OJT exposure.

Uzma’s dedication, creativity, and skill have taken her from Kohati Bazar to the top of the national stage. The 1st position holders will now undergo 2 months of intensive training for the next stage, where they will compete against China in the international round.

Chairman TEVTA Visits GTTI Kohati Bazar Rawalpindi, Stresses AI & Digital Skills

Rawalpindi, 7 May 2026
Chairman TEVTA today visited the Government Technical Training Institute (GTTI), Kohati Bazaar Rawalpindi, to review institutional progress, training standards, and future development initiatives.

The Chairman emphasized transforming technical education to meet modern industry requirements through high-tech, high-end, and online-based courses. He highlighted the urgent need to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and emerging technologies into the curriculum so students remain aligned with the rapidly evolving global landscape.

Stressing international competitiveness, the Chairman directed that institutions must equip youth with globally relevant skills to compete confidently at both national and international levels. He further encouraged promoting freelancing, entrepreneurship, and digital skills to enable students to achieve financial independence and support their families.

The visit focused on advancing innovative teaching methods, modern learning approaches, and industry-oriented training programs designed to prepare youth for future challenges and opportunities.

The administration of GTTI Kohati Bazaar Rawalpindi reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality technical education and modern skill-based training in line with TEVTA’s vision for youth empowerment and economic development.

Successful On-Campus Recruitment Drive & OJT Selection at GTTI Kohati Bazar, Rawalpindi

Alhamdulillah, Government Technical Training Institute Kohati Bazar Rawalpindi successfully hosted an On-Campus Recruitment Drive with Webtronix on Monday, 27 April 2026

The event was graced by District Placement Officer Mr. Ikramullah Niazi and Institute Placement Officer Mr. Mohammad Touseef. Interviews were conducted by IT Manager Mr. Faizan Ahmad from Webtronix.

Around 27 students from DIT, Graphic Design, Web Design & Digital Marketing participated. After screening, 15 candidates have been shortlisted for the Skill Test & Final Interview. Webtronix will be hiring for 8 positions.

Additional Opportunity: We are also grateful to Webtronix for selecting 15 DIT students for On-Job Training/Internship in June-July 2026 — including 10 female and 5 male current DIT students.
