One of the best English departments in the twin cities. English programs have been part of the repertoire of the FUI ever since its inception over a decade ago.

Our department has grown over the years and has honed itself to offer the most rewarding learning experience to its students. We are particularly proud of the fact that we have grown to offer programmes at the graduate levels and have now also launched our PhD programme to contribute scholarship of the highest standard to the academic arena.

Submissions Open!

They didn’t just take notes, they took souls. BS English Semester 6 summoned the Shinigami vibes and served poetic justice at the Open House with their Death Note presentation. Apples became society (yes, the symbolism was chef’s kiss), feathers fell like metaphors, and moral ambiguity hovered in the air heavier than Ryuk's stare. They literally wrote the names of mediocrity in the notebook and erased it with A+ analysis. Sure, it was a tie, but let’s not lie. These literary legends killed it. We didn’t just think pink… we Panthered pink. Semester 1 & 2 pounced into the Open House with claws out and creativity blazing, bringing the suave, silent legend Pink Panther to life! From drawing to quizzes, this booth had everything: brains, giggles, treats, and just enough pink to cause retinal confusion. Yes, it was technically a tie… but let’s be real—they slinked into first place like a true Panther: smooth, clever, and wearing invisible sunglasses.
