یونیورسٹی آف صوابی میں نو تعمیر شدہ "مرکزی جامع مسجد مریم" کا باضابطہ افتتاح کر دیا گیا ہے۔ اس بابرکت اور پروقار تقریب کا آغاز مہمانِ گرامی کی آمد پر گلدستے پیش کر کے کیا گیا۔
مسجد کا افتتاح یونیورسٹی آف صوابی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر میاں سید خان اور امہ ویلفیئر ٹرسٹ کے چیئرمین مولانا محمد ادریس نے مشترکہ طور پر یادگاری تختی کی نقاب کشائی کر کے کیا۔ یہ خوبصورت مسجد معروف فلاحی ادارے امہ ویلفیئر ٹرسٹ کے تعاون سے تعمیر کی گئی ہے، جو مسجد مریم کے نام منسوب کی گئی ہے۔ اس اہم اور تاریخی موقع پر یونیورسٹی کے رجسٹرار، دیگر افسران، فیکلٹی ممبران اور اسٹاف کی ایک بڑی تعداد نے افتتاحی تقریب میں بھرپور شرکت کیا۔
اس عظیم منصوبے کی بروقت اور کامیاب تکمیل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سعید اور رجسٹرار جناب وقار احمد کی انتھک محنت، مخلصانہ کاوشوں اور لگن کی بدولت ہی ممکن ہو سکی، جنہیں یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ اور شرکاء نے زبردست الفاظ میں خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔
افتتاح کے بعد مسجد کے خوبصورت ہال میں ایک تقریبِ سعید کا اہتمام کیا گیا، جہاں مولانا محمد ادریس اور وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر میاں سید خان نے حاضرین اور اساتذہ سے تفصیلی خطاب کیا۔ انہوں نے امہ ویلفیئر ٹرسٹ کے اس کارِ خیر کو سراہا اور یونیورسٹی کے لیے اس مسجد کو ایک عظیم نعمت قرار دیا۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر جامعہ کی ترقی، خوشحالی اور مسجد کی تعمیر میں حصہ لینے والے تمام افراد کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی گئی۔

جامعہ علامہ اقبال اسلام آباد کے رئیس کلیہ ڈاکٹر قاسم یعقوب نے مہمان مقرر کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی۔ شعبہ اردو کی متحرم فیکلٹی ممبر ڈاکٹر سیما نے شاندار اور جاندار انداز میں سیمنار اور محفل مشاعرہ کی کاروائی آگے بڑھائ۔ تقریب میں سماجی علوم کے رئیس ڈاکٹر نسیم اللہ خان قریشی،سابق معلم و بانی شعبہ اردو ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم، ،شعبہ اردو گورنمنٹ کالج لاہور کے ڈاکٹر سبحان اللہ،دیارخان فاونڈیشن کے چییرمین کرم ستار یعقوبی، اسلامیہ کالج شعبہ اردو کے ڈاکٹر فضل کبیر،پوسٹ گریجویٹ کالج مردان کے شعبہ سیاسیات کے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ساجد حسین و شعبہ اردو کے ڈاکٹر واجد علی شاہ۔شعبہ اردو کی صدرنشین ڈاکٹر مہناز،شعبہ اردو کے اساتذہ ڈاکٹر اعجاز،ڈاکٹر احتشام،ڈاکٹر صدیق،شعبہ انگریزی کے ڈاکٹر فھد،شعبہ ھذا کے سابق و موجودہ طلباء و طالبات نے شرکت کی۔

The Vice Chancellor of the , Prof. Dr. Mian Sayed Khan, paid an official visit to the newly appointed Secretary of the Higher Education, Archives & Libraries Department (HED) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Amber Ali Khan, at his office.
Prof. Dr. Mian Sayed Khan presented a flower bouquet to Dr. Amber Ali Khan, congratulating him on assuming his new responsibilities.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries engaged in detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest, focusing on the advancement of higher education and institutional development. The Secretary HED assured the Vice Chancellor of his department's unwavering assistance and full support to facilitate the growth of the University of Swabi.
The Registrar of the University of Swabi, Mr. Waqar Ahmad, was also present during the meeting.

Dr. Bilal Wadood, Assistant Professor at the Department of Geology , attended the GSA Conference _“Defining the Future of Timescale Calibration”_ at the University of Iowa, USA from May 30 to June 5, 2026. The event was organized by the Geological Society of America and hosted by the International Subcommission on Timescale Calibration, the conference officially kicked off activities for the creation of the Geologic Time Scale 2030 (GTS-2030) through posters, presentations, and panel discussions on the future of timescale calibration.

As part of the program, Dr. Wadood participated in geological fieldwork to the Devonian-Carboniferous boundary sections in southeastern Iowa, and visited the Natural History Museum at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Abdur Rauf, a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the , was invited to deliver a lecture on “Advances in Herbal Medicine and Natural Products Development: From Traditional Use to Modern Therapeutics” at ITS Surabaya, Indonesia.

This academic engagement strengthens research collaboration and International academic ties between the University of Swabi and ITS Surabaya. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Swabi extends sincere congratulations to Dr. Rauf on this notable achievement and his valuable contributions to natural products and pharmaceutical sciences.
