A Visit of a school leader ...a sample for other SL,s.

Today my visit was to
GPS Mistri Abad No. 1(Rorya). I reached the school at 9:10 am. On entering the school the very first thing that i observed that there was no guard. Secondly, assembly was not held there and the reason was a cold weather. Thereafter i go to head teacher office but unfortunately he was on leave then i met with other two(2) teachers in the school and received a short briefing on the school various curricular and administrative aspects. I then go to a combined class of 2nd and 4th and assess three subjects (English+Math+Science) to know about their performance. I spent one and half hour their and the points that i observed during class are;
1. No previous lesson overview
2. No classroom activity
3. Class 4th english has only one student having copy to write down all others have yet to buy their copies.
4. No single copy of Math was checked properly along with date and sign of teacher.
5. No assessment questions in the end of lesson.
6. No home work concept was there.
7. No proper management in combined class i.e One of them used to waste a lot of time while teaching to other portion.
8. Backbenchers were too weak having no participation in class. I selected more then half students at random and checked their notebooks which were neither properly written nor checked. However, when I had the students read from their books, their performance was below average.
Then i went to class 5th and when i enter in the class the teacher was not delivering lesson but checking students paper which was conducted recently. Teacher then started lesson to the students and the points that i observed during class are;
1. Very good method of teaching.
2. Properly checked copies with sign and date.
3. Proper question and answers.
4. Class was engaged properly.
Overall the environment of 5th class was amazing but there was some points to be added as well like
a. No home work concept.
b. Channel of communication was purely pashto.
c. Students were weak in grammar activities.
Furthermore, some students was arrived late. The condition of the school building was excellent. After this, I discuss the problems with teachers and give them a notice in written form and tell them that on my next visit i expect improvement in all these deficiencies. I instructed the teachers to give special emphasis to the core concepts of learning outcomes (SLOs). I also suggested that they work on improving the writing skills of the students, which were below average and had room for improvement. I strictly advised the teachers to pay extra attention to weaker students of the class. The staff assured me that they would focus on deficiencies. The school term ended by 12:00 PM.

*اساتذہ کو ورک بک اور نوٹ بک کی چیکنگ کی پریکٹس کرائی جائے گی،*
*تعلیمی کلینڈر کے مطابق طلباء و طالبات کی اسسٹمنٹ کا بندوبست کیا جائیگا*
*پی ٹی سی میٹنگز میں بھی سکول لیڈرز شرکت کرینگے اور تجاویز دینگے*
*داخلہ مہم کومزید مؤثر بنانے کی ذمہ داری بھی سکول لیڈرز کی ہوگی*
