Innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning during our Summer Program!
Our students explored programming using Python and Python Blocks, developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills along the way.
They also designed and built their own digital models and brought them to life with the 3D printer.
Such a fun way to create and imagine! 🐬❤️☀️💻🖨️

At Dorado Academy, we are always proud to celebrate students who use their talents to make a positive impact in the community.
Our students Alina Monserrate, Lara Reaño, and Valentina Miró (who are also students of Dorado’s Ballet Academy 646) have taken the initiative to create “Dance to Heal” (Danza para Sanar), a beautiful project dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations through the art of dance. Through classical and contemporary dance performances, these young leaders raise funds to directly benefit organizations serving our communities.
Their first collaboration has been with Hogar Mis Primeros Pasos, and they will soon be presenting a special dance performance for the children and staff of the home.
Alina, Lara, and Valentina exemplify our values of compassion, leadership, and a commitment to service. We applaud their dedication to using the arts as a force for good and inspiring others to make a difference. Dolphin Pride! 🐬❤️🩰

Congratulations to our student Astrid Nieves on her admission to the NYLF Medicine & Health Care Residential Program at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut!
This prestigious pre-college program allows high school students to explore the world of medicine and health care through immersive, hands-on experiences on the campus of one of America’s most renowned universities.
Throughout the program, Astrid will participate in medical simulations, diagnostic challenges, trauma case scenarios, and interactive workshops where students learn practical skills such as suturing and taking vital signs. Participants also have the opportunity to tour medical simulation centers, meet health care professionals, and collaborate with peers from around the world who share a passion for medicine and science.
Founded to help prepare students for college and future careers, the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) provides an inspiring environment for students to discover their interests, strengthen their skills, and explore future pathways in health care.

As we celebrated the last day of the school year with our faculty and staff, we also honored the retirement of one of the most beloved and incomparable figures in the history of Dorado Academy, our dear receptionist of 23 years, Lourdes Santana.
After words of gratitude from our Principals, Mrs. Ortiz and Mrs. Laureano, Board President Raúl Reaño, and Vice President Luis Enrique Romero, recognizing the professionalism, commitment, and excellence of our entire staff throughout the year, the spotlight shifted to Lourdes and the beautiful career she devoted to our school community.
Knowing how much she loves animal print, everyone arrived dressed in animal print attire, and she had no idea the celebration was for her! The surprise, the laughter, and the emotions made for a truly unforgettable afternoon. Our forever salsa teacher danced and even gave an impromptu salsa class that filled the room with joy.
The celebration moderated by our Human Resources Specialist, Rosamar Colón, started with special messages from Board President Raúl Reaño and our Senior Accountant, Milagros Gaúd.
One of the most touching moments came when Mr. Roberto Pérez, our beloved teacher for more than 35 years, shared heartfelt remarks on behalf of the teachers and longtime employees. Referring to Lourdes’ most iconic phrase, he compared her to the many famous figures known for their signature expressions and reminded everyone that no one will ever be able to duplicate her unforgettable: “Attention please, attention please!” Following this, of course, we had to end the celebration with a spot-on imitation of this phrase by our teacher and alumna, Mrs. Tamara Santana.
Among all the many photos we took with her, we also had the opportunity to take a very special photo with Mr. Pérez and the group of alumni who are part of our faculty, a true reflection of the lasting impact of our school community.
Lourdes, thank you for 23 years of kindness, dedication, warmth, and love. Dorado Academy will never be the same without your smile at the front desk, but your legacy will forever remain part of our Dolphin family. 🐬❤️
